Actually folks theres quite a story with this congressional race. It got exciting and controversial at the end . I read this in the newspaper:

Polls in the Perry / Falin race were neck and neck when the race entered its final phase which was a real "Trial by Fire " for both candidates. Candidate Perry appeared to stumble at the end, hurting himself, and this hampered his ability to hit all the stops on his final victory tour. His Campaign manager - a dude named Neal was said to be upset at Perrys sudden reluctance to hit the road, kiss babies and high five toothless granpas.

Candidate Perry is resisting encouragement to run again. People close to him have urged him to run again immediatlely as if he didnt he would lose his voice. Apparently a succesful NYC clothes salesman and a Philipino - American nightclub entertainer have already announced intentions to run in the primary in 2010. with candidates lining up for the primary in 2010 , Perrys supporters are fearing that he may become irrelevant to the political scene,

Then you need to stop jumping to conclusions. Let me elaborate, the definition provided for curmudgeonly reminded me of someone who would be kind of see you in tea why. I found this picture on Urban Dictionary of Bush, and figured since your definition included archaic and miser that you'd get the reference I was making towards Shrubya. I guess that's a fail on my part. I shall heretofore put a disclaimer on all pictures stating who they are and are not directed at.
