I hate the idea of selling organs - but I also hate the idea of selling blood. Goes in the same emotional bucket as slavery, money-to-adopt and prostitution for me. Some things just need to be given and shared with respect, love, compassion, whatever, not bought and sold. But that's just my point of view; doesn't make it right.

I think organ donation is a very personal decision-both living organ donation and cadaver donation and I would never force my values or beliefs about it on anyone else. With that being said-had I not been a tissue match-and had we not been able to find a family member, and no cadaver donor-I would have been willing to someone to give my loved one a kidney so I think it should at least be an option.
