Here it is! Jon Cain's song for the Our Lady Of Angels fire. He performed this last week at the 50th anniversary memorial. Goose bump city. Can someone translate the last verse (he goes latin or something).

I found it. Here's the translation. I maybe should have known that as a catholic.
Eternal Rest
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.
Requiem Æternam
Réquiem ætérnam dona eis, Dómine,
et lux perpétua lúceat eis.
Requiéscant in pace. Amen.

Is it Catholic? Is there A difference? Are you Catholic? Is God a Catholic? One sky, one creator and all that good stuff right?

What's everyone think of the song. Listen to it, it's pretty good for the occasion.
I like the latin stuff... a real true catholic. Old school if you will. This is a good guy. I really makes me believe and hope, he's a Reagan Democrat. It fits the m.o.

How do you get Reagan Democrat out of that?

It was a nice song, for the occasion. Very fitting.

I like it. I'm sure it meant more that he was the vocalist, but I'd love to hear it with another singer (not necessarily has to be a J-singer). I'd also love to hear it as an instrumental with a full orchestra.

Midwest, blue collar, catholic = Reagan Democrat. Also known as the best type of citizen in the U.S. The percentage is pretty good that is what he is or was (unfortunatley living in California for nearly 30 years may have brainwashed him to turn into a liberal but I hope not.). Like I said the signs are pretty good but there are also some warning signs that he is not, like the above mention California residence, Al Gore film, and La Raza Del Sol.

That was a pretty nice song...that is some pretty terrible memory to carry around.
Not being a jerk but I don't love Cain's voice in that tune.

You know what babe,
CHILL!! Jon Cain is a name he took for professional reasons. If he has a problem with his real name, then screw him for turning his back on his family, his past and his roots. And if he doesn't have a problem with his real name, then neither should you. Either way, let it go.

Wow...that's a really good song. It's probably 1 of 3 I've ever heard from Jon that I liked.

I think he sound better now than he ever has, but he's never been much of a vocalist.

Sounds like a Tori Amos song and Cain still can't sing for sh!t. Nice sentiment though.

Buy Windy City Breakdown if you want to hear a good vocal performance.
