MR Standings:

YoungJRNY: 24-12
John From Boston: 23-12-1

..No one else picked.

NFL Week 15 schedule:

Buccaneers @ Falcons

Redskins @ Bengals

Titans @ Texans

Packers @ Jaguars

49'ers @ Dolphins

Seahawks @ Rams: Game of the WEAK. Seahawks and the Rams belong to the janitors locker room before the first bell rings. Game is moved out doors in the little league field over at the elementary school in St.Louis due to 3 tickets sold. Rams squeak out the win because mom called Walrus Homgren in for dinner. Rams by 1.

Bills @ Jets: Jets re-bound at the Meadowland and keep the AFC East in a All for one, and One for all. Jets by 26.

Chargers @ Chiefs

Lions @ Colts: Lions don't even show up and the Colts play against air. Colts by 50.

Vikings @ Cardinals

Steelers @ Ravens: I'm getting shivers just thinking about this game. Remember back in the day when war was fought with Horse and sphere? The time has come again. This is going to be W.W.3, 300 style. Defense's end up facing each other in a tug of war contest with their own bodies. Steelers edge it out to take the 2nd seed and the AFC NORTH crown for the second straight year. Steelers by 4.

Broncos @ Panthers: Upset special of the Week. With Carolina coming off a HUGE division win, Denver has no choice but to be the playoff team (sadly) they are going to be in January, and it starts with a deserving win in Carolina. Broncos by 5.

Patriots @ Raiders

SUN NIGHT

Giants @ Cowboys: Remember when I said the Giants would lose to the Eagles, only to get better? Well, better will be against a Cowboys team that just shit themselves. G-Men by 23.

MON NIGHT

Browns @ Eagles

HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to be bloooodyyyyyy. Image

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons 1:00 p.m. ----Bucs rebound, 20-17

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens 1:00 p.m. ---Ravens. Best team in football, period. Best defense and the leagues' hottest offense, averaging 29 points a game. You put an average offense with that defense you are good. You put an high octane offense with that defense, you are unstoppable. Ravens 28, Steelers, 17.

Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers 1:00 p.m. ----Carolina 23-20

Washington Redskins at Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 p.m. -----Cincinnati 17-13.

Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans 1:00 p.m. -----Houston upsets Tennessee. 27-21.

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs 1:00 p.m. ----Chargers win 24-21

San Francisco 49ers at Miami Dolphins 1:00 p.m.----49 ers go into Miami and win, stealing this game 21-17. Parcells has coronary.

Buffalo Bills at N.Y. Jets -----Jets crush Bills, 34-17

Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams 1:00 p.m. -----Seattle 3, Lambs, 2.

Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals 4:05 p.m. ----Minnesota goes into the warm desert to beat the already division champs Cardinals, 27-17. Cards are complacent.

New England Patriots at Oakland Raiders 4:15 p.m. ----Gee, this is a toughy. NE 31- Thugs, 7

N.Y. Giants at Dallas Cowboys 8:15 p.m. -----LOCK of the year. Dallas, who I despise, is a lot better than what you think they are. They throttle NY 35-21.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 15

Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles 8:30 p.m. ----Eagles smoke the heartless Browns 28-10

Buccaneers @ Falcons - Tampa's defense showed they're not nearly as stout as everyone thought they were last week. The Falcons win by a field goal.

Redskins @ Bengals - Redskins

Titans @ Texans - Titans

Packers @ Jaguars - Jaguars

49'ers @ Dolphins - San Francisco continues their AFC domination and upsets the Dolphins.

Seahawks @ Rams - Two AWFUL teams. I think the Seahawks pull it out.

Bills @ Jets - Jets, Jets, Jets!

Chargers @ Chiefs - Chargers

Lions @ Colts - The Colts defense scores two touchdowns against the hapless Lions, and the Colts win by 4 touchdowns!

Vikings @ Cardinals - Vikings

Steelers @ Ravens - This game may end with a final score of 3-2. Two inept offenses against two outstanding defenses. I like the Steelers to win a VERY close game.

Broncos @ Panthers - The Panthers are the better team and win a close one.

Patriots @ Raiders - Cassel comes out and plays his ass off. Patriots win by two touchdowns.

Giants @ Cowboys - Even though the Cowboys are an inept organization, imploding more with each passing day, the Giants have some injuries, so I think the Cowboys win a close one.

Browns @ Eagles - This one won't be close. Eagles win big.

Inept offenses? Pittsburgh sure has one, but Baltimore is off the hook, scoring 29.8 points a game the last 8 contests.

Miami
Oakland
Cleveland
Houston
Giants
Eagles
Bengals
Redskins

47-42 is the combined record teams have the past 8 games. The team that meant any significance of a threat was against the 11 win Giants and they lost by 20 solid points. Any other team the past 8 games has either major question marks or are accustomed to being powderpuff teams. The Ravens most impressive wins against good teams this season were against:

Philly
Redskins
and if you want to... Houston?

.. the teams they beat were Bengals (twice) Browns (twice) Dolphins (when their season was a juggle) Raiders, Texans, Eagles, and Redskins.

The teams they lost to are as follows:

Steelers, Titans, Colts, and Giants.

Getting BEAT DOWN against the Giants and Colts like they were school girls. The trend to me is that this team does not show up against any quality opponents who might be stronger than them. To me they are pretenders in a high degree.. until they beat a opponent that threatens the NFL then I'm not sold that the Ravens are the best team in football.. they aren't even leading their division with somewhat of a weak schedule.

The game today against Pittsburgh will show what they got, but they will remain pretenders if they cannot beat the teams they have in the following weeks that includes Dallas, and Jacksonville.

Sorry dude...Was having flashbacks. I just looked up the numbers, and they have definitely improved. That said, they're still in the bottom third of the NFL in yards per game. They're also in the middle of the pack for touchdowns scored and not even in the top ten in points per game. The only offensive category that they rank in the top ten in is rushing yards per game. Still not a juggernaut offense, in spite of what they're done in their last 8 games. Also, I know from watching the Ravens, that their defense scores more touchdowns than any team in the NFL, so don't give their offense all the credit for the points scored in the past 8 games.

LOL, here in SoCal, we get the thrilling Chargers/Chiefs. The attendance must be damned near 15,000, and no, I am not joking. Looks like a REO concert in a giant stadium.

7-1 in the early games. Somebody get me the number of a bookie. If Tampa Bay wouldn't have put the ball on the rug, I would 8-0!

Early score in...NE 6- OAK -0. That game is officially over.

Looks like the pathetic Chargers pulled a rabbit out of their ass, winning that game! They're an awful team, and I think Tomlinson is DONE! I'm not sure Norv Turner will even last 24 hours after the final game of the season.

Not so fast John. I am no real Charger fan, but look at this:

Lost to CAR by 2
Lost at DEN by one, due to the admitted fuck up by referee.
Beat NE by 20
lost at PIT by 1
lost to IND by 3

They could easily have 10 wins.

Also, look at the remaining schedule.

Denver is AT Carolina today, and then home to the Bills, and they close at San Diego.

SD is at TB and home with the Broncos. It isn't too far fetched to see Denver lose today, and maybe grip a little too tight at Invesco and lose to Bills, while SD could beat TB, thus making the last game worth something.

Sorry Dean...I don't deal in hypotheticals, so I could care less who San Diego "could have" beat or that they only lost by 1 or 3 points. The Patriots could be undefeated again if half their team (including the best player in the NFL) weren't on injured reserve! The reality is that San Diego is not a good team. They are horribly coached and they have a bunch of fucking whiners who have zero heart. Even if they manage to win their division (no great accomplishment, considering that finishing 8-8 will probably win it), they will lose in the first round of the playoffs. Getting into the playoffs would be counterproductive for the Chargers. They'll be far better off playing for a higher draft pick and cleaning house when the season ends. Tomlinson should give half his enormous paycheck back. What a fucking stiff this guy has turned into. Apparently he and Shaun Alexander were cut from the same cloth! In all my years of watching the NFL, I'm not sure I've seen a team do less with as much talent as they're supposed to have. They're neck and neck with Dallas as being a classic choke team.

Anyone care to explain to me WHY the Bills lost today?

1) Injuries
2) Level of Talent
3) Play calling

Which one?

It was a close call, original is supposed to stand unless it's clear and irrefutably wrong on replay. I don't think it was

Oh well. Flacco fuckin sucks too.

It was a touchdown. The ball doesn't have to cross the white line- just touch it. The "plane" is the front of the white line. Clearly a TD.
