Slacker Radio...Lots of Journey Tracks
Anyone using this?? www.slacker.com is their website. I just signed up and it's phenomenal. You can customize radio stations FAR more than with services like Rhapsody or Pandora. The Journey playlist is also very extensive. I went in and created a Journey station and they have tracks from the Augeri era as well as tracks off of "Revelation". It's 100% free to sign up and use(they do have a $3.99 montly membership if you want unlimited skips and requests). If you use the free service, you have to deal with 3 minutes of commercials per hour (wal-mart seems to be the commercial of choice), which represents the amount of music you get per hour on most terrestrial radio stations
This thing is better than my iPod in my opinion, and I own three ipods. I believe you can listen through their website in your office without having to purchase any fancy gadgets. I'm a bit of a gadget freak, so I purchased an RCA Infinite radio for my office, which gets Slacker, Internet Radio, Instant weather forecast right down to your zip code with the touch of a button, AM and FM, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. The thing is fantastic and I think I paid just about $100 for it. Also, Slacker has a portable player that looks like an iPod. I think it's called the G2. It's a bit pricey but looks like a really cool device. Sorry if I sound like a commercial here. I really don't work for this company and even just heard of them a couple of weeks ago. I just was curious if anyone else was using the Slacker service and what your thoughts are about the service.
