According to the Heart board, Heart management has said that they are playing "some shows" with Journey this summer. Here's hoping that they hit Detroit as a pair, since Ann Wlson couldn't sing at DTE last summer.

By the way....I'm a LONG TIME lurker here. Love this board!

A little surprised that these two would pair up again in 2009. These are both great bands, but some casual fans may say "Been there, done that". That on top of the fact that they are late in announcing their tour (in the meantime, bands like Styx, Coldplay, DMB are already selling tickets), I think ticket sales will fall well short of last year.

On another note, I hope both bands change their set list somewhat from last year and add time to their set.

Journey is not focusing on the states this year. They are playing an abbriviated tour at the end of the summer and into the early fall, so while they will definately sell fewer tickets it is because they will be playing fewer US dates.

Heart is a great pickup for the dates they will be playing.

Heart is doing a little mini-tour on their own. I am seeing them next weekend here in Orlando at the HOB. I suppose that doesn't mean they won't join up with Journey again though. They are a band I won't mind seeing over and over so wouldn't bother me.

I don't know! I only knew because I get emails all the time from ticketmaster and the HOB. I got the tickets a while back. I'm not sure they'd sell out though, you may still be able to get tickets. It's March 28th. I saw them twice last year with Journey so I'm excited to get to see them in a smaller venue like HOB now! We were pretty far away at those other concerts.

Thanks for the welcomes! I am very active on the Heart board, and they are indeed doing several shows with Journey....only one date is confirmed so far. Kentucky, I beleve. But Heart management has said more dates are coming.

I'm ok with Journey and Heart together. They are my two favorite bands.

Same here! I have loved both of these bands since the 70's.....

Sounds like a tasty event. Hope the UK will be included in the tour.

There's another date: Iowa State Fair on August 23, both bands are signed.

I would love this, too!!! I hope they make some changes, however!!

i can see heart anytime,i got a boner at the last one, Going to California was really good,them girls still rock

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if all bands see that the economy & people's refusal to spend frivolously affects their concert tix sales. They'll hit festivals and fairs where there will already be a crowd. They'll make a few buck and sell a few more albums. Then they'll start planning next year.
