Has anyone seen this? (the movie, not the TV documentary). I'm thinking about seeing it later but I'm home alone and don't want to be freaking out at every little sound all night, just wondering how scary it is. Note - really scary movies are actually my favorite kind (but I usually have someone else around to watch them with ).

Haven't seen it yet, but want to. Funny, I don't know anyone that's seen it either. Is that a bad sign? LOL

Saw an interview with Virginia Madsen where she said that when she watched the movie she was freaked out by. Even though she starred in it she was still freaked. I know that's good PR, but sounds cool to me.

I saw it last weekend. My friend loved it. I thought it was lame. But that's
just me.

What was lame about it? Being a horror nut myself, I don't tend to have high expectations and can therefore enjoy most flicks. But I am always looking for personal experiences.

Word to the wise...

NEVER waste your money on a horror film in today's day in age in theater. Wait until it comes out on DVD.

. . . or find an online site to watch it , that's what I ended up doing. Wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. Virginia Madsen is one of my favorite actresses, so it helped that she was in it. And it wouldn't call it a horror flick anyway - it's supposed to be based on a true story and was definitely creepy though.

Based on a true story with story line's a bit far-fetched. That spells disaster for any story that is true and ESP an eerie one.

A friend of mine was one of the producers, he thought it turned out well.

I love spooky movies but found it boring and predictable. And not worth the $8.50 I had to pay
to see it. JMO but then I'm boring and predictable so what do I know!

Well, predictable doesn't surprise me much. And I never intended to pay full price to see it.
