Great post! I can't wait to hear Neal's next solo album too - he should have won a Grammy for his instrumental work a long time ago.

That video looks like Neal Schon, plays like Neal Schon. It's gotta be him :? :?

The JF may finally get interesting if he keeps this up. :D

Good job Neal.

I think this could work for either a Journey album or Solo.

I really hope Neal gets alot more involved in the writing process this album to really rock it up a bit.

Looks like Lori is handling Neal's PR for him.. Good Move.

Sort of reminds me of Live from Daryl's House, which is a very cool show.

So Neal is seriously going to rock this album, right?

I'm talking more about the concept of blogging on line with live performances. Of course Daryl's House is Awesome but what Neal is doing here is a good start.

And I'm glad she did. She's got him sober, smiling, communicating and the future looks as bright as anytime in the last 20+ years.

In all seriousness, she really looks likely to usurp Deen's crown of Band MVP if she keeps this up.

I'm not sure I'd go that far but she has really done some great things for the band, and because they're my favorite band I'm very thankful for all she's done. I think she's given them a personality again. I enjoyed the pictures she posted and the new site has some cool features without all of the drama that comes with a message board. It's really only useful for fans that like the band's current incarnation and that's the way it should be. It's pretty much troll-proof.

Neal's on Facebook and updates his status pretty frequently. It's really cool to see what he's up to.

I've said many times before and I'll say it again...this is a good person. Letting us into his living room...literally. A good man. It looks like his living room was a little messy like mine too.

Was he just playing along with a recorded demo?

I can hear the ting and tang of the strings just like when you are doing it not amplified or with a dead amps.
maybe just me,..but really great and can't wait to hear more

So they'll be playing a hard rock setlist at the Heavy Metal festivals this summer with no ballads, yes? I mean, dude doesn't want to be bottled or have his singer kidnapped by drunk Euros pretending to be vikings, right?

That was awesome and as others have said, the concept is awesome. I hope he keeps doing this kinda shit. It's so cool to see these guys in their homes honing their skills and writing shit.

I'd like to see some clips of the writing process and/or the way they come up with melodies. I'd like to see what each member, namely Arnel, brings to the table. I'd also like to see how Cain is during the writing process. Being the chief architect for DSB, OA and Faithfully tells me that he really shines during the writing/melody sessions.

I'm picturing Cain playing a melody and Perry/ Arnel/ Augeri scatting along to it. Cain interjecting his own words once in a while when ever he hears something that might work as a lyric.

This is definitely a great year for the band and Neal. From the fantastic Manila show and then five sellout shows in Hawaii and the cohesiveness and energy with the band that you could see on the Hawaii clips and now Neal blogging for the fans and sharing by video this aspect of his life when he's off the road and playing it bodes well for this whole year re concerts and the writing of the new album and his new solo album. The creative juices are flowing for Neal. Keep up the videos. The fans appreciate it, Neal, in case you're reading this.
