"He was conversing with some other guy about how to get more money out of the music he had made over the years."
That's an easy one. Get your a$$ back on stage or tv a couple times a year. Or, do a new GH album with today's voice, maybe some rearranging, some new takes on the old melodies, etc. It will all sell and the back catalogue will fly off the shelves once again.
later~

Thank heaven. Things were beginning to slow down here.
I smell a 10-pager by the end of the day.

"he seriously was bitching about how he gets only so much from downloads, and how no one buys the cd's anymore...i caught most of the conversation. he has a bunch of music he's done himself and wanted an outlet to sell it without putting out any money of his own!!!"

I doubt seriously he would be discussing his personal financial info outside for all to hear; but it does make for salacious conversation to bring back to the Internet for all to read. it's titilating and it's amazing how someone with a camera would suddenly appear when Steve was talking to someone else how to squeeze out more money from Journey and that same person would then run to the Internet and post not only a picture but a commentary about what was said. i doubt he's thinking about the band every moment of the day and i seriously doubt he's that worried about money. but it's your picture and i guess you can say whatever you want to say about whatever it is you thought you heard.

Eavesdropping on a private conversation, assuming you know the details or context, asking for pictures with him, asking for signatures, then having your friend TAKE A PICTURE ANYWAY......
A real classy "fan". I could understand now if Perry would tell everybody he doesn't know that approaches him to FUCK OFF!!

Talk about invading somebody's privacy & space. Geez!

This kind of thing seems to happen over and over again. A fan asks if he can take his picture, Perry declines, but is kind enough to sign autographs on numerous objects. Then the fan has a friend take a picture anyway. The fan posts it on the internet and blasts Perry's taste in fashion. Why not make up some 'conversation' that you heard, while you're at it? Big man.

Unfortunately, sleaze balls like this guy are everywhere and our society has made it acceptable to infringe on someone's personal space just because that person used to be in the spotlight. I could never handle being in the public eye knowing you can't even sit in a restaurant having a private conversation with friends without some bottom feeder listening in and putting his own twisted spin on things. These people disgust me.

+1 to both comments. And I didn't think he looked bad. I don't understand the need to criticize. He looks like he's trying to live his life. Too much emphasis is put on how people look these days.

people make comments about what you feel not what someone who knows someone has said. that's even more telling to me; everyone always seems to want to be close to or associated with someone just becuse they are someone. it's wrong and not because someone says it is; it's because it is wrong.

Thank god I'm not famous.
I go to the store right from the health club - sweaty, no makeup, workout clothes, etc.
I'd be in People and on the internet every week with comments like that.

This photo is
not new at all. It was taken back in November 2008. The man in the photo had Steve autograph a ROR album and he got the picture as proof that signature on the album was real. This was posted on ebay when he was selling the autographed ROR album. I wonder why he is making out like this was recent when it was taken back in Nov. 2008? Me thinks the man is looking for attention big time. Here is the original picture that was on ebay.

Lora I agree 100%. Something seriously needs to be done to prevent shit like this from happening. To listen to someone's conversation that is just f**kin' rude on all levels.
I remember he stated on ebay that he lived in Long Beach and ran a memorabilia shop.

Nothing wrong with you sharing the picture here for all to see.

I think what people object to is that the man in the photo and the person who took the photo infringed on Steve privacy in the worst way and then made comments on a private conversation Steve had with someone he might have had dinner or lunch with.
