Crap for music -today's lyrics

Postby tj » Tue Jul 12, 2016 10:00 am

One of my daughters was listening to this song, so I looked it up on Youtube. Almost 250 million views. Such lyrical brilliance . And we wonder why our country is going to hell in a handbasket. No, by Megan Trainor:

I think it's so cute and I think it's so sweet
How you let your friends encourage you to try and talk to me
But let me stop you there, oh, before you speak
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
First you gonna say you ain't runnin' game, thinkin' I'm believing every word
Call me beautiful, so original, telling me I'm not like other girls
I was in my zone before you came along, now I'm thinking maybe you should go
Blah, blah, blah, blah
I be like nah to the I, to the no, no, no
All my ladies listen up
If that boy ain't giving up
Lick your lips and swing your hips
Girl all you gotta say is
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
Thank you in advance, I don't wanna dance (nope)
I don't need your hands all over me
If I want a man, then I'mma get a man
But it's never my priority
I was in my zone, before you came along, don't want you to take this personal
Blah, blah, blah, I be like nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
All my ladies listen up (all my ladies)
If that boy ain't giving up (ain't giving up)
Lick your lips and swing your hips
Girl all you gotta say is
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
(Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no)
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
(Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no)
All my ladies listen up (say, all my ladies)
If that boy ain't giving up (ain't giving up)
Lick your lips and swing your hips
Girl all you gotta say is
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
My name is no
My sign is no
My number is no
You need to let it go
You need to let it go
Need to let it go
Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
I'm feeling
Untouchable, untouchable
(Nah to the ah to the, no, no, no)

I hated this song from the word go, or is it No? The music community was not asking for this song. There was no void somewhere, I imagine in any part of the universe, that needed this song. It is awful and embarrassing on all levels. It is a disgrace to music and earth in general.

And she is making millions from it, but we can't get any new Journey music. What alternate, bassackward universe have I stepped into?

of course Journey has had their great lyrical songs,
but this is almost as worst as anything today.

Oh, oo.
Oo, baby.
I love cookin' with honey.
I love to make you feel funny.
I love the way you do.
I want, I want it with you, yeah.
Homemade love, Jelly roll love.

Homemade love.
I need a jelly roll sweetie.
Now, spread it oh spread it on me, babe.
Feels so good, on the top.
Spread it around, baby, till I drop ya'.
Homemade love, hot jelly roll love.

Homemade love.
Oh, baby, oh baby,
I know you love it.
Homemade love, oh, baby.
I know you love it.
So love it.
Oh, homemade love, hot jelly roll love.
Homemade love.
Homemade love, hot jelly roll love.
Homemade love.
Oh, baby, baby, baby
Homemade love, hot jelly roll love.
Homemade love.
Oo, smokin',
Oo, baby, you're burnin'
Oo, baby, it's boilin', ah.

I always go WAY, WAY, WAY out of my way to avoid any radio stations that play current radio hits. But about a year and a half or so ago I was driving my teenage niece to her local community college everyday. That lasted for a few months. She would always want one of these shitty current hits stations on the radio in the car. That was when that damn Megan Trainor song "All About That Bass" was a hit song. After a few days of having to hear that song, which rates as one of the worst piece of shit songs in history, I literally let out a loud yell one day when it came on the radio, and I told her that that was it, I would be in charge of the radio for now on.
I told her we could listen to a Classic Rock station, a Sports Talk station, or no radio at all. But no more of that damn Megan Trainor type crap.

At least "Homemade Love" has great music and great singing. Unlike that Megan Trainor crap.

"I need a jelly roll sweetie". If I were to call my wife that, she would punch me in the throat. Twice. Yeah, there was much to be desired in a lot of their early lyrics. Cain really helped them step it up in that regard.

Homemade Love is exactly what Departure needed at the end. They needed this song to rock at the end. :D
