Can someone, please tell Cain that he just can't sing. Just terrible.
Also, if you're trying to establish yourself as a solo artist, including the name Journey in every effort you put forward doesn't really do anything other than tell people you can't live off your own name without the band's brand supporting you.

You are correct - Jon please for the love of the Real God, and not your greed god STOP SINGING!
Also its pretty funny how he got Journey in the title.
Has NEal Commented?
Hope Neal comes out with a NEal Schon's Journey album.

I don't disagree, but should Steve Perry, former lead singer of Journey, not reference Journey if he ever takes the stage again?

Crass use of the name JOURNEY. He's lost his mind and he's gotta go.

Steve Perry should release a Christmas Album, A very Perry Christmas. It would probably do pretty good.

Who would go to hear Jon sing live? Even on an album, with all the studio magic help he can get, it's still not pleasant to listen to his voice.

I saw him twice way back when. Wasn't bad. But now his voice grates on me. But I can say the same about Joe Elliott. Not that Jon was ever even close to as good as Joe.

I'm getting tired of him exploiting the journey name
Not crazy about his voice
He can do this yet not a new journey cd ??????

I very much doubt Steve Perry would name his album "Steve Perry, the Journey lives on..." There is a big difference between referencing the band name in your promotional material (as if he'd need to), and using the brand in the title of your album.

hopefully Schon lawyers up and gets a 50% cut of the proceeds, with that much money he could probably get the Grande cup at Starbucks.

Obviously the production cost for a Cain solo cd is much less, but the point still stands. He is a total hypocrite.

In your opinions, who is the better lead singer between Schon and Cain?

I believe he is doing three shows - one in my neighborhood in MN. Kinda far from the city, which is odd. To have three targeted shows tells me there must be some support up here, but I have never heard his name from anyone. He's playing where Denis DeYoung played the last two years. Pretty sizeable room.

I have never had a problem with Neal's vocals (Early Journey, Schon & Hammer, solo.....). I can't say the same about Friga.

I have always preferred Neal's voice on Rockers. The only ballad that I've heard Neal sing is "Softly" from his first solo album. He was decent on it, but not as good as he is on Rockers.
I don't hate Cain's voice as much as many people do. But he's no Gregg Rolie on vocals.
To me, Neal's singing sounds similar to Jimi Hendrix and Gregg Rolie, although not as good as Rolie.

Agree on the bolded. I think Neal has a touch of soul in his voice that Cain lacks.
Agree about the ballads also. Did a fair job with this slower track from Schon & Hammer.

shocked he would of all places play the Medina.
even the worst casinos here in MN are much better venues.
And I am sure without the "Journey" reference he would not sell out a church basement.

I know Neal was not allowed to use the Journey name when he toured with Soul Sirkus. Without the Journey connection, who would see Cain? Only religious wackos and they have already spent their money on mail-order holy water.

The Medina is known for playing has beens never beens and 70s 80s band with no original members. LRB comes to mind, they have played there every years since Shorrock left.
Looks like they are diversifying though
http://medinaentertainment.com/event/ps ... /#calendar Wonder is Jon is staying at the seedy motel attached to the venue?
Oh Wait....Journey's gonna be playing a Halloween show there
. Wonder if this is Jons Journey or Schons Journey?
