Jon needs to tell Neal, "After this tour, I think Journey should make a new album."

Even if it is a lie, it would get Neal excited and they would have a great tour together. :D

After this tour Journey through time needs time make a new album, and bring in Perry for a couple of songs.

Don't know if he is directly connected with the band but here's your chance to tell JRNY what to play for a set list:

Is Arnel sounding a lil rough right here or is it the sound ?
Thought by now his voice would be well rested, even though
he's done shows in their downtime.

There's only one solution if Arnel is struggling with his voice. Journey 2018 Set List: Separate Ways, Kohoutek, Only The Young, Topaz, Stone In Love, Nickel & Dime, Open Arms, Moon Theme, Wheel In The Sky, When The Love Has Gone, Faithfully, Festival Dance/The Rape, Don't Stop Beleivin', Cookie Duster, Any Way You Want It

Here is a set list that could work for this year: Separate Ways, Only The Young, Stone In Love, Lights, Open Arms, Signs Of Life, Feeling That Way/Anytime (Because it is 40-year anniversary of Infinity), Change For The Better, Who's Crying Now, Faithfully, Covered By Midnight (Neal lead vocal), Too Late, Someone, Chain Reaction, Escape, Lay It Down (Travis Lead vocal), Wheel In The Sky, Any Way You Want It Encore: Don't Stop Believin, Lovin' Touchin Squeezin

Bottom line: Journey needs to provide some surprises in their set list to keep fans excited. I think this set list does it while giving Arnel some time to catch his breath with others taking lead vocals on some songs. Someone is a really cool song off Eclipse that needs to be played live. It would be fresh and new this tour.

With Cheap Trick in the mix we will get the dirty dozen and maybe 1 deeper cut. And yes probably a couple Neal Solos and a Cain "medley"
Find out this week if I won drawing for corporate seats 3rd row dead center. They had about 20 tix available.
at 250+ each I may have a chance. They close that concert.
If its the dirty dozen however they will go on StubHub and I will wait for Journey through time.

I guess their new intro to the concert tonight is the SYncronity II song that Neal, Arnel and Smitty did a while back.

Ouch.
But it makes sense; they should be desperately trying to preserve Arnel's voice.

Especially since Deen is no longer there to do some of the heavy lifting.

That setlist is pathetic. Is Travis still with
them?

EDIT: yeh, Travis is with them.

I was always a big fan of Deen's and was happy when he sang lead on a handful of tunes. It gave Arnel a much needed break and Deen's always great.

I'm not ashamed to admit that, while Travis has a great voice, I'm less enthusiastic about a support musician singing lead.

As much as I love Smitty, it's times like these I wish Deen were still in the band.

Hartford show is on YouTube.
Arnel sounds better. But I’m terrified he’s gonna get his ass kicked on this tour.

Arnel sounds rejuvenated (I've only watched 3 or 4 tunes). Neal's playing just gets more unfocused every year. Ugh. This solo...wtf?

Why did they even need to rehearse? Isnt this the SAME EXACT setlist of last years tour.
What would be the purpose of new music when the last song they are playing live was recorded in 1985? 33 years ago
Just Wait til the 3rd act comes into play. Once again taking a pass.

You might be better off staying home and watching the Escape Tour DVD concert. It would be more fun.

They need to add a fourth musical act and then Journey's set list can be: Lovin Touchin Squeezin, Any Way You Want It, Who's Cryin Now, Faithfully, Open Arms, Only The Young, Don't Stop Believin', Separate Ways. The casual fans will love it!

Watched most of the vids and Arnel does sound great. I guess the condensed setlist will help a little for him, and glad on such a big tour that the keyboardist in the back isnt shown or singing.

LTS was great last song but whats with the crowd bailing (and I mean bailing after a Vikings loss) before the song ends?

If you watched a few videos from their 2017 tour, you will also catch glimpses of SP's pic
in the background videos. What's it mean :?: Probably nothing more than nostalgia and
Neal dedicating 'Lights' for a 2nd year on tour to SP.

For 2019, Journey should tour with Styx, REO Speedwagon and Foreigner. Four bands in one show!

Concert Set Lists
Foreigner: Feels Like The First Time, Head Games, Jukebox Hero, Long Long Way From Home, Urgent, Double Vision, Cold As Ice, Hot Blooded
REO Speedwagon: Don't Let Him Go, Roll With The Changes, Take It On The Run, Time For Me To Fly, In My Dreams, Can't Fight This Feeling, Keep On Loving You, Riding The Storm Out
Styx: Blue Collar Man, Fooling Yourself, Too Much Time On My Hands, Best Of Times, Grand Illusion, Lady, Renegade, Come Sail Away
Journey: Lovin Touchin Squeezin, Any Way You Want It, Who's Cryin' Now, Faithfully, Open Arms, Only The Young, Don't Stop Believin', Separate Ways

I am pretty sure all casual classic rock fans would have the time of their life.

Looks like his wife has given or soon will give a baby.
I hope everything is going well.
