It’s a really nice ballad. Songs get lost in Freedom because there’s too many but this is a really good one.

A great classic Schon guitar solo

A really nice vocal performance from Arnel - whilst having to navigate some pretty crappy lyrics

What songs do you find yourself occasionally going back to on Freedom?

If you think the lyrics suck as a Journey ballad, wait until you hear them in their original religious form. Jon basically repurposed one of his old songs.

That being said, I think LTLA should have been released as a single.
Like "After All These Years", it checks all the boxes of a catchy/schmaltzy big Journey ballad.

When I return to Freedom, I really find myself enjoying Narada's playing. He has a unique swing and groove that commands attentions - reminiscent of the greats like Porcaro.

Keeping the positivity going... Cain wrote a nice ballad that came to life once the rest of Journey were able to get involved

That's a good point. Certain members of the band like Perry or Cain, tend to receive too much credit as being the reason why Journey were tremendously successful, or that certain songs were great. The reality is that each member played a role in the success of the band, and in making the songs great.

There were no weak links in Journey, really not at any point!
