Steve Perry Hopes You “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” in New Holiday Cover

Nick Foulk / December 25th, 2018 ... day-cover/

Singer Steve Perry has gotten in on the Christmas spirit with his cover of the classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

The former Journey singer has been making music for decades, gaining massive amounts of fame for his work with the enormously successful rock band. Journey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, cementing both the band and Perry’s place in the history of music.

Since his time with Journey, Steve Perry has focused on his solo career and released several albums of his own music. This new version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” is the most recent release of Steve Perry, with the singer bringing a unique take to the classic song.

Steve Perry has had a profound impact on music throughout his career, and has now turned to his solo work to have an influence.

His album Traces was released in October of this year, marking one of his only major releases of the 21st century. The passion of the album can be easily seen through songs such as “No More Cryin’” and “You Belong To Me.” Both of these tracks drawn upon the life experience Perry has had, bringing more substance to his lyrics than many other performers can.

Perry’s rendition of the timeless “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” shows the unique musical style of the artist. The singer’s new version of the song is slightly under 2 minutes and shows many of the same artistic qualities that made Perry’s newest album one of a kind. In the track, Perry uses his somber voice and soft piano notes to create a beautiful version of the song. The audio for the track can be found below.
Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the

brother send me rocker upstairs. If it's rough, rough it. You can do it, I've heard snippets. Please put down something meaningful that your core fans will love. Rod Stewart is a great singer but swinging for the ankles sucks. Common now! If I can do it you can do it.
