According to Ron Paul
by Jen Kuznickion January 8, 2012
....
According to Ron Paul, in order to stop terrible oppressors like China from killing 100 million more of their own people, we need to play ping pong.
So what she trying to argue? Cute little snide commet with nothing behind it. That the promulgation of economic liberty and the openess that trade brings can't breed political liberty and openess? Libertarians simply say you cant effectively promote liberty by force.
According to Ron Paul, if you intend to save the country and be credited with bringing it back to a Constitutional Republic, vote for only a few appropriation bills in 24 years, and earmark every nickel for the 14th District of Texas, that way, you are not spending money on frivolous things like the rest of the country.
The fact simple fact is that EVERY penny of the budget
ought to be earmarked. 100%. An earmark is simply saying what you are going to spend dollar x on and when you are going to spend dollar x. We wouldnt be in a mess if 100% if the US budget was carefully eamarked instead of just dumped into a general budget
According to Ron Paul, one must agree with the decision of Roe v. Wade because of the Constitutional right to privacy in the 4th amendment, but constantly proclaim you are pro-life.
Author might want to check her facts. Factually wrong, Ron Paul is a pro-life libertarian who believes that an individual's rights/their self ownership begins at conception. As such he has even supported some federal protection of the unborn, (unusual for him). Paul hasn't made a fourth admendment argument on abortion. He has incidentally made a 4th admendement argument against the Patriot Act.
According to Ron Paul, a “little bit of a difference” in foreign policy is stopping military support of Israel, since they are an illegitimate country in the first place, and that Israel is holding the Hamas-controlled Gaza strip as Hilter held the Jews in a concentration camp. Incidentally, Paul called Israel a “national socialist state” in his newsletters that he signed in 1987.
Im only in partial agreement with Paul's foreing policy, but to be fair Paul has said Israel also has the right to defend themselves. Also note he is no antisemite. He is an ardent supporter of the austrian school of economics. Every single leader/ founder of the school of which was a Jew (many of them having fled Vienna to the US
According to Ron Paul, not ruling out going third party is simply a reserve of judgement, since he is not sure yet how the primary race will pan out.
So what , I wont trade away my right to vote for a third party even though I think a second Obama term would be a disaster. Why because liberty is what made America great, not, the Republican party, not conservativism, and any candidate or party that wont make a commitment doesn't deserve your unbended absolute commitemnt because in the end of the day that party wont be any better for the country than Obama. Good on Ron Paul for this, Im glad the folks in Philadelphia in 1776 didn't decide to just work within the system so they could build consensus amongst the 66% percent of Philadelphia residents who supported the British.
According to Ron Paul, Hamas is legitimate, and the Palestinians got ripped off, and cannot be the aggressors in the Middle East because they don’t have the power, and that US support for Israel is blind.
see my comments above, bear in mind the focus of US policy ought to be for the legitimate defense and ultimate good of the US
According to Ron Paul, the war on drugs must end with the legalization of all vice laws, because vice laws take away individual freedom to do what you wish, harming no one but yourself and your property. Not once has he suggested how to deal with the domestic violence and death associated with someone supposedly just harming himself.
so the status quo is working? By the way RP stands for removing FEDERAL drug laws. )after all ther are no federal murder laws States would be able to outlaw drugs and thy would the same way they outlaw murder
Sewn up in a package as the potential leader of our nation, Ron Paul offers appeasement, self-absorption, incorrect and convenient reading of the Constitution, anti-Semitism, the idea that if he’s not the nominee, America deserves another 4 years of Obama, and absolute blindness of the people hurt by rampant drug use.
Given that package, Ron Paul is not really that much different than President Obama.
