Yeah, thanks to the Republican Governors and Legislatures who took over their States in 2010, like Kasich here in Ohio.

Well if you think that the Republicans in office together with Obama are accomplishing something, then you will enjoy the next four years ;)

but of course , as always, you want to give ALL credits to Republicans for anything good and put the blame on Democrats for anything bad. Big surprise !

Both you guys are wrong..

U-6 has gone down because the Labor Force Participation rate has fallen to 30 year lows (which is bad).. meaning folks who were counted in the U-6 number have given up looking for work and aren't being counted anymore.. so the U-6 falls..

So its bad if the U6 goes down and its bad if it goes up. I guess we're fucked either way

some of it is demographics.. but not enough to account for the fall...If the Labor Force Participation Rate was the same as when Obama took office in January 2009, the U-3 unemployment rate would be roughly 11%, which puts the U-6 right around 20%....

In January when Romney is inaugurated, this thread needs to be renamed, "Four futile years of trying to educate Liberals/Obama drones".

Maybe it's a simple poll. Raise your hand if you want a job or a better job, are qualified, and cannot find one. Whatever that is, that's the problem. A second number would be the number of people on some type of government assistance that are ok with the level of assistance so they don't work, but could go to work and get off of assistance if a job was available.

And of course a third number would be those who had children knowing they could not support them, let alone themselves.

So, you take a swing state poll from Rasmussen and compare it to a likely voter poll from Gallup....

funny how you think comparing a national likely voter poll is comparable to a swing state poll.

You see only what you want to see.

We do not believe four more years on the same plodding course toward economic recovery is the best path forward for Texas or the nation. And so we endorse the Republican team, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, in the belief that they can do better by Texas and the nation.

So lets get this straight, if someone plans to bring up something that is against Romney, it's sign of desparation from D
if someone tries to do the same about Obama, you cheer and think of it as extra ammo ?

It's nice when the sheep get in line.

Read the real news on this. This was a complete and total breakdown.

Let's say this is true. Let's say that 5 days after the attack, an attack that was watched in real time where the next day it was stated by many over there that there was no riot/demonstration, the CIA indicated that there was some validity to this stupid idea of a video causing this. Let's just play in that fantasy land for a minute. Than absolutely the CIA Chief should resign immediately. I mean, what a complete and utter failure of a department that is supposed to thrive on accurate intelligence. Think about the many attacks that have occurred in the past 30 years. Have we ever supposedly known as little as this in as many days?

It amazes me the lengths people will go to in order to support their team.

Look - support your guy when you feel he has done what you like. But have the decency to call them on it when they fuck up.

This was nothing more than an effort to lie to the American public and I can point to far more evidence of such than you can against. Let's hold our leaders to a standard for God's sake.

Yea - the abortion thing is weird. I was talking to someone yesterday and I said look, if you want counsel towards getting an abortion, don't go to your church leaders. I can't imagine anyone rooted in faith actually advising someone to go get an abortion, especially an elder-type person.

Now does that speak to how he would put someone on the bench? Of course and that I think is what they want you to consider.

In a presidential role, you could consider that putting your will on the people. In a church role, absolutely not.

He took FULL RESPONSIBILITY for it. This isnt about supporting the team. This is simply about the other team trying to use the death of 4 americans , to gain votes ! No matter how many time we go back and revisit this and point fingers, this will not bring the 4 Americans back to life. The most important part is to bring those responsible to justice and do our best to prevent things like this to happen again.
As far as politician lying to the people, they all do it , it's their job and if they didnt lie they wouldnt be called politicians !

Looks like Romney has a secret weapon for tonight's debate...

RomneyLabs Concocts 'Doomsday Zinger' Capable Of Swinging Any Debate, However Lopsided

BELMONT, MA—In preparation for tonight’s third and final presidential debate, the microbiologists, chemists, and physicists employed at RomneyLabs confirmed Monday that they had completed their work on the “Doomsday Zinger,” an extremely radioactive quip capable of shifting the momentum of any debate, regardless of who is winning.

According to an official statement released by RomneyLabs—a 19,000-square-foot research facility located in the hills of Belmont, MA and dedicated to nuclear campaign science—lab technicians have been hard at work devising the Doomsday Zinger for the past four years, and it will be “the most decisive and catastrophic zinger” ever used against President Barack Obama.

If verbal launch is successful, sources said, the one-liner could eradicate the entire Obama campaign in .03 seconds.

“During Mr. Romney’s run for the White House, our researchers have developed more than 200,000 zingers in the hopes of crafting a single one-liner capable of leveling President Obama’s reelection bid,” RomneyLabs head Dr. Marcus Fowler said from the facility’s Treatment and Enrichment Center, which consists of more than 100 centrifuges constantly spinning highly volatile zinger components, such as unstable economic numbers, fluctuating housing data, tritium, and failed immigration legislation. “We now believe we have isolated one dynamic, all-powerful zinger that is capable of both emotionally destroying Obama and inducing such an intensely positive response from presidential debate viewers that any verbal exchange can be won instantly.”

“If this zinger is anything like we expect, it could create a chain reaction of explosive mini-zingers that will have cataclysmic results for every Obama supporter from New York to California,” Fowler added. “It’s actually a pretty funny zinger, too.”

The $1.3 billion zinger project, funded by Mitt Romney himself, has brought together some of the leading minds in political philosophy, particle physics, and zing theory. Scientists said that while the vast majority of concocted zingers are cryogenically frozen for later study, roughly 13 percent are stabilized for use on the campaign trail. To date, the project has resulted in the synthesis of thousands of less successful clever remarks, quips, and jibes, such as the low-grade zinger, “As president you’re entitled to your own house, your own plane, but not your own facts.”

The Doomsday Zinger, however, is reportedly the perfect fusion of refined talking points, colloquialisms, the isotope uranium-238, folksy humor, and liquid nitrogen.

“What we’ve done is extracted the highly fissile material in President Obama’s statement on Libya; placed it in a test tube; sped up his comments to 3,000 rpm to remove any extra debris in his language, such as all the “ums” and “ahs” he tends to use; decanted the pure, liquefied remains of his words; and combined it with a highly potent zinger compound,” micro-turbine operator Dr. Alan Swenson said. “Then, in our Debate Laboratory—a tightly controlled, 69-degree, two-podium, one-moderator environment—we created the perfect conditions necessary for generating the zinger. In our most recent test, 45 out of a total 50 trials yielded results in which Obama, his campaign, and all prospects for his ever being president again were decimated.”

“Basically, what we’ve done is split the zinger,” Swenson added.

According to researchers, while the Doomsday Zinger is highly effective, it is the most unstable witty retort they have ever created. Scientists have only deployed the zinger while wearing hazmat suits, whereas Mr. Romney will have to deliver the über dig in a jacket, a tie, and no flammable protective equipment whatsoever.

Thus far, 14 RomneyLabs scientists have either died or lost multiple appendages while working on the wisecrack.

“The thing that Mr. Romney has to be careful of is that this zinger only remains stable for two-thirds of a second, so he has to get the timing exactly right,” Swenson said. “Because if he doesn’t, the zinger could blow up in his face.”

First Question From Debate Audience Somehow Comes From Paul Ryan

HEMPSTEAD, NY—Following the opening statements by President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney during tonight’s town-hall-style debate, the first question asked by an audience member somehow managed to come from Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.

“Gov. Romney, let me start off by saying I have a lot of admiration for you and your family, and it’s a great honor to have this opportunity to speak with you,” said Ryan, who wore a flannel shirt tucked into jeans and was introduced by debate moderator Candy Crowley as “Paul, an undecided voter from Wisconsin.” “As a man of faith who hails from America’s heartland and is deeply devoted to his wife and three children, I am very concerned about the direction our country is headed in. Like many voters four years ago, I was skeptical of Barack Obama’s leadership skills, and as we all know, the American people are now paying a terrible price for having elected him president of the United States. This economy has left a lot of good folks out of work, and when our struggling families look at how every single policy enacted by the Obama administration has only made things worse, they can’t help but worry about what will happen if this man is given a second term. I must admit, Gov. Romney, I share their fears. I believe I speak for a lot of us voters who are still on the fence in this election when I say that in your last debate performance—which, by the way, was tremendous—you presented an admirable plan to rein in the deficit and bring back jobs to America. All of this pertains to my question, which I’ll get to in a moment, but first I want to quickly build on my earlier statement and note that I’m both a religious man and a family man, and it’s been a tremendous reassurance to hear you speak of your commitment to families and to the values that define who we are as Americans. I do want to wrap this up, but not before I tell you that my wife, my children, my mother, and all the people I know stand behind you. America stands behind you. God bless you, Gov. Romney, and God bless America. Now, given the savagery with which Barack Obama has worked to destroy everything we hold dear in this country, will you be able to reverse each of his failed policies in your first 100 days in office—or can you do it even faster than that?”

The vice presidential candidate then sat down and immediately raised his hand again for a “follow-up question.”
