New England at Detroit - Perfect letdown opportunity for the Patriots with the Jets up next. I just don't see it happening after the Cleveland debacle. This is the Lions "Super Bowl". Because of that, I suspect that this game will be a whole lot closer than it really should be. Patriots by 10.

New Orleans at Dallas - The Saints are clearly the better team but may be due for a hiccup. I think Dallas finds a way to win this one by a FG.

Cincinnati at NY Jets - I've said it before and I'll say it again...The Bengals BLOW! Complete disaster of an NFL with zero leadership. Jets by two TD's.

Kitna may be a backup QB, but he's a guy who has started more NFL games than Tony Romo! Obviously, the Saints are a FAR better team than the Cowgirls are, but this is the NFL. The best team loses a lot more often in this league than any other professional sports league.

New England at Detroit - With the Pats playing on a fast track in a big spotlight is almost a guaranteed romp every time. The Lions are a good team on the rise but N.E is way too much for them to handle with this kind of national exposure. Bellichick, Brady and co. will be way too overwhelming for a Detroit team still trying to become relevant. Patriots by 17.

New Orleans at Dallas - The Saints have it burned into their brain that it is the Falcons and not them sitting at 8-2 and own the best record in the NFC. Dallas has been playing well these past two games, but New Orleans is by far the better squad and have a chip on their shoulder to play for. Saints by 10.

Cincinnati at NY Jets - I'm actually having trouble with this one for some reason. I believe that if the Bungles don't beat themselves, then they can actually pull the upset here. Owens has been huge this season and with the Jets going down to the wire the past 3 straight weeks, their cockiness might bring them back down to reality against a bad team that has the tools to play upset. I'm going out on a limb here. Cincy by 3.

I can't believe the Steelers didn't play their style of defense like the Lions is playing. Instead of getting pressure on Brady, they kept their best pass-rushers in coverage and played right into the hands of Brady and his offense. The Lions are being very aggressive and are in Brady's face every snap.

You sound like Travis in here whining like a little bitch after his Steelers completely crushed the Raiders and all he could do is cry about how unfair the officiating was against his team. Listen...the officials fuck up every week in the NFL. I've been a devout follower of the NFL for well over 30 years now, and I can tell you it will never change. Hell, there was a Pass Interference call against the Lions when they claimed someone interfered with Woodhead. I thought it was a horrible call live and the replay cemented that for me. Bad calls go both ways. At the end of the day, the Patriots didn't win that game because of officiating and the Lions didn't lose it because of officiating.

On another note, I think Tom Brady is starting to put himself in the running for league MVP. I have felt that the front runner all season has been Phillip Rivers, but Brady has simply been unstoppable lately. Both guys are playing with limited offensive weapons and I suspect that they'll finish first and second in the voting.

On another note, Dallas REALLY needs some help with their two minute offense. I watch a lot of football and their two minute offense is painful to watch. These fuckers run 30 seconds off the clock just trying to get back to the line of scrimmage. They're the only team in the NFL who doesn't have a single player even pretending to hurry back to the line of scrimmage after a play. They really need to fix that, STAT!

Yeah that was awful. They didn't have any legitimate chance at the playoffs this season before Garrett took the helm, but hopefully those things can be addressed for next year. I like the improvements I've seen so far, and while I'm not Garrett's biggest fan, he's definitely made some changed for the better.

I look at Tennessee of last season when they were 0-6 then made a late season run. I think teams, esp good teams like the Saints, tend to go against the grain against a team that has little to play for and finds themselves in a position to let up (up by 17 points.) I've seen it time and time again, but if you look at that Williams fumble, the man was trying to put the game away and the Saints defender made a play that defines championship caliber squads on a quest for a championship.
