Anyhow, I walked in with about 1:00 left and wasn't all that too surprised. The Steelers are pretty much built for those close games but I was sweating because I've seen this story before for pretty much my whole life watching the Steelers win close games so I held on and expected them to pull it out. Should have lost on that long ball, but I guess that's the difference between a team like the Steelers and Bills. Got lucky and I'm concerned because I agree, the Steelers aren't all that but we will see what we're made of next week in Baltimore. A win is a win I suppose. Other than that, I don't know much of what happened until I watch it. I heard Troy came up with an absolute HUGE turnover.

Palamalu caught a deflected shit pass on the goal line. The BILLS(Boy I Love Losing Super Bowls), were going in and that blind retarded QB throws up a duck and Troy catches the deflection. Again, the Steelers should have lost that motherfucker in regulation.

PS- Dan, hate Pittsburgh all you want, and I most certainly do, but their defense is a fucking monster, except those shitty corners. LOL, those shitty corners were lucky the BILLS receivers are even more shitty. When you have shitty vs more shitty, shitty usually wins.

Hey man, I read a lot of player reaction and they will tell you it's tough to put together one win in the NFL so as fan, no matter how bad we looked it's good to see them pull it out and get the W and capitalize on their major fuckup. Like I said, I'll never pound my chest because the Steelers have so many GLARING problems it's not even funny, esp on the offensive side of the ball to where they don't give the D leverage but I'll take it, sloppy or not. Wouldn't you? :P

The Raiders have the shittiest corner in the league in Walter McFadden. Sure he's a rookie, but he still sucks red baboon ass! No idea why he's in the game.

I swear every damn pass thrown his way is either a completion, a completion for a TD, or a PI call on his sorry ass.

I guess it's time we start giving credit where credit is due to the Bears. It seemed they were headed the way of the 09 Broncos (who started 6-0 and melted down), but with today's win over the Eagles, they are definitely for real. I wrote the earlier Packers win off as a fluke, but I can't do that now.

The Bears' play really surprised me today. They took the Eagles behind the wood shed for 3 quarters and played with the lead in the 4th quarter. Outstanding win, nontheless.

Sidebar-

How the FUCK does Oregon, who lambasted the #17 team in the nation by 21, DROP from one to two? Doesn't mean anything, but still......

This computer system does suck dick for sure. I am hoping somehow Auburn loses to South Carolina, and Stanford would leap over TCU, to have a rematch against Oregon, but sadly it won't happen. I want an All Pac 10 Championship game.

RWF, you can forget about the playoffs. San Diego is serving notice to the rest of the league. They always come on in the second half of the season. They made Indy look foolish tonight didn't they?

What do we have in the AFC?

San Diego
New England
Baltimore
Indy
Jets
Shitsburgh

I like the Chargers' chances against any of these teams.......most likely they will play either the WC teams, Pittsburgh or the Jets at home.

Don't discount NE, which is better than both Pitt, and NY....and I'm willing to bet would smoke SD, 41-17...

If only the Chargers could play multiple games against the Colts in September/October and maybe they wouldn't get off to such a horrid start.

This is certainly shaping up to be reflective of the Chargers' pattern. But per usual, nothing would surprise me more to see them win the division and get bounced in the playoffs.

Turner needs to be axed and a winning coach with a proven track record for getting the job done needs to be brought in, a Cowher or a Gruden.

Of course, even a coach is unlikely to matter. In terms of sports, San Diego is a city of futility. Even when they have the right players or coaches they can't get it right. Cases in point, Bruce Bochy leaves and gets his ring in San Francisco. And Drew Brees is jettisoned only to win a Super Bowl with New Orleans.

Now see, you make a bold statement which I respect, but then you go overboard with your 41-17 smack. Dude, first off, we'll see how much better NE is than NYJ next week at Gilette. I do agree with you that NE is head and shoulders better than Pittsburgh and if they do meet in the playoffs, it will likely be in Boston, and we know the Steelers aren't winning there.

Two EPIC games next weekend. PIT @ BAL Sunday night and NYJ @ NE Monday night.....Brady throwing against Revis Island. That should be a dandy.

I'm way ahead of you dude. Pissed away too many possible wins to make the playoffs. Fatfoot misses a 32 yarder at the whistle to lose to the Cards. Offense inexplicably doesn't show up against an awful 49ers team. Then they lay an egg against a beat up Dolphins team and their feminine uniforms.

Yep I know. It's already been a good season for Oakland and they are a team on the rise, as much as that pains me to say that.

As far as being ahead of me, no way dude. I am watching Wyatt over at Lula's house and she made the big mistake of leaving three bottles of wine out as well as a twelver of Bud Light in the icebox. BIG mistake on her part. Hahahaha, say ast la vista baby. Beer is history. Wine is next on the list.

I wouldn't be surprised. Jaxy ALWAYS played Indy tough, even when Indy was the powerhouse all those years. I think the Colts injury list is catching up to them. Manning can do a lot, but he can't do everything all game long for 16 straight weeks.

CHICAGO - Authorities say a man has died after falling at least 20 feet from a ledge at Soldier Stadium while attending a Chicago Bears game.

Chicago police say the man fell around 4:55 p.m. Sunday during the NFL matchup between the Bears and the Philadelphia Eagles. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Chicago Fire Chief Joe Roccasalva says the man landed on a small rooftop on the outside of the stadium. Witnesses told authorities the man ran to a ledge and jumped. Roccasalva says the man was in his 20s, but his name hasn't been released.

CHECK THIS OUT- For those who remember back to 1995, this is the greatest catch in NFL history! Watch this fan leap out of the fucking stands and catch a field goal at.....................Soldier Field. This is amazing. Al Michaels was going ape shit.

Here is a Jim Rome clip about "Karaoke Guy." He has a real good take on The Voice at 8:08 of the segment. Pretty much comes out slugging for SP. I thought Trav might like to hear what the Rome show is like. it's not all sports dude. There are major tangents he goes off...don't get me wrong, it's 90% sports, but the non sports takes are the funniest.

While it's a good point, we should also mention that whatever team loses that game Monday night will go from having a really good chance at being a one seed in the AFC to being a five seed. It's that huge of a swing for the team that wins that game. It means having home field throughout the playoffs, versus having to play every playoff game on the road.

Seven Wishes wrote:And don't count out the Colts yet.

The Colts are fucking dreadful. I can't believe I'm going to say this, because I've NEVER said it before, but Peyton Manning is THE REASON that team is squandering games. Dude has been a fucking train wreck. I watched that game last night and he looked like Pussy Boy Favre just heaving the ball all over the place without giving a single thought to where it might land. The good news (if you're a Colts fan) is that they play in a dogshit division and are still tied for first place, even with just a 6-5 record.

That all looks about right to me, Dean. I will say that I couldn't agree with you more about the game against Buffalo. Buffalo completely gift-wrapped that game for the Steelers. When you factor that in along with the Miami game that the officials handed to the Steelers, their team probably isn't as impressive as I've given them credit for. That said, I still think they have as good of a shot to be a factor in the playoffs as they do of not making the playoffs at all.

That's THE FORMULA in the NFL Dean. If you go back and look at the history of the NFL, NO team wins games when they constantly turn the ball over. If you watch the Patriots play defense, it's fucking painful. I often wonder how the team ever wins a game. Then when you look at their turnover ratio, I believe they are plus 11, which is near the very top of the league. They simply don't turn the ball over and could never win with the 31st ranked defense if they did.

Not just epic, Dean, but season changing. If the Patriots lose, they'll go from a one seed to a five seed and if the Steelers lose, they'll go from a current six seed to having a really good chance of not making the playoffs (Pittsburgh still has to play the Jets). Enormous weekend of football next week. Already counting the days down.
