Giants over Redskins
Chefs over Broncos - I like the Chiefs HUGE in this one!
Titans over Jaguars - Kerry Collins is back so look for Johnson to get going and some shots down the field to Moss.
Packers over Niners - Singletary headed for the unemployment line
Dolphins over Browns - This game is a "pick em'" for me. Either team could win but I'll give Miami a slight edge.
Minnesota over Buffalo - Buffalo plays hard but aren't terribly talented. I suspect this will be a much closer game given that douchebag Favre's propensity for throwing to the wrong color jersey.
Bears over Lions - If Cutler ever gets some receivers, the Bears could be a formidable team. They're back to playing stout defense and could be a dangerous team down the stretch.
Saints over Bengals - It's the Bengals...Enough said!
Chargers over Raiders - The Chargers simply don't lose in December!
Seattle over Carolina - The Panthers are the worse team in football, period, end of story!
Falcons over Tampa - The Falcons are a very good team and Ryan is really starting to become a better than average NFL QB.
Rams over Cardinals but nobody really cares!
Colts over Fraudboys - The Colts have been less than impressive this season, but the Cowgirls have been less than impressive for about a decade.
Ravens over Steelers - This game is a FG either way and in past seasons, I'd be all over Pittsburgh on this one. I'm simply not sold on this Pittsburgh team, AT ALL!
Patriots over Jets - Like the Baltimore versus Steelers game, this game is going to be low scoring and very close. The Jets don't lose on the road and Brady hasn't lost at home since 2006, so something has to give here. If the Patriots want ANY shot in the playoffs, they MUST win this game!

Mark my words.....MOSS will end up back on NE. They don't even throw to him in TN. And they didn't really in Minny either. and enough of this decoy stuff. Brady would force it in to him. Mark my words.....

I'm not even sure that I'd want to see Moss back in New England. Listen, I think Moss has been the most talented receiver in the history of the NFL, but I think his run is coming to an end. I never thought I'd say this, but the Patriots offense is FAR better without Moss, when Brady is spreading the ball around and throwing to the open guy.

I had the unfortune of having to root for the Broncos to beat the first place Chiefs.

Man I'm glad I'm not a Denver fan! They suck hard!!!

Damn - another ugly win for my Brownies, but I'll take it. Delhomme has GOT to go. I truly think Holmgren is forcing Mangini to play Delhomme in the hopes Delhomme will royally fuck up these games so Holmgren can fire Mangini

I hope Colt's healthy next week...

The Browns are making progress. Probably not going to get to .500 this season, but they have a shot next season.

You know, ironically enough, I agreed with you all the way up through the last two weeks. I think it's mainly just Delhomme, but we have regressed the last two weeks imo after showing improvement each and every week. Our offense was a downright embarrassment this week again. I will never say "no" to a win, but it doesn't feel as good to win without seeing the improvement I was seeing from before. But, this is the NFL and ugly wins are going to happen, so what are you gonna do.

The bright side is we had a great draft this year - Haden and Ward are going to be Pro Bowlers in the near future if they keep up their play. I'm also concerned that Hillis is getting too beat up this year. We literally don't have another back after starting the season very deep. But, all things being equal and Hillis doesn't get too banged up this year, McCoy gets healthy and keeps up his strong play, and we find a receiver or two, I think the future is bright for my squad.

Remember my friend, winning ugly is always better than losing looking "pretty". At the end of the season, nobody remembers how you won a game but they always know exactly how many games a team has won. I saw today's Cleveland game, so I certainly don't disagree that it was painful to watch and the only reason Cleveland won was because of a deflected pass at the end of the game, but that's football.

No doubt, and winning ugly would be a lot more palatable if we had a realistic shot at sneaking into the playoffs with a few "ugly" wins under our belt. Since that's not realistic (but mathematically possible last time I checked), I just want to see our team improve like it did the first 10 weeks of the season, win as many games as possible (fuck draft positioning), and come into next season with some swagger. Delhomo has to go for that to happen imo. I wasn't even this nervous watching Derek Anderception under center a couple years back. christ almighty.

For some reason the Raiders bring their A game inside the division. When they play anyone else they almost look disinterested. :?

Even if Pittsburgh does win, I don't see them going far in the playoffs. Some weeks ago, I really thought we had a legitimate shot at making it to Dallas, but looking at the overall picture and how the league is starting to crack down on certain players on the defensive side of the ball and how the art to the Steelers success is the physical play on the defensive front, mixed in with the offensive line injuries (on our 8th or 9th line rotation of the season) woes who can't protect Ben as it is, and now with Roethlisberger nursing a broken foot, it'll be very tough for the Steelers to maintain a high level of play, esp in the post-season.

Ben won't be able move the way he eludes the rush and how he makes plays happen with his feet outside of the pocket, so it looks like every aspect of the Steelers game is takin away from them whether it be of injury, or the way the league is cracking down on certain teams and players who play the game at a vicious level & that goes for any other team that's built like Pittsburgh is.

Haha, I see you working, Trav. I see right through this post. What you are is downplaying the Steelers...so in the case of the Steelers losing today, or early in the playoffs, you can fall back on this post and say to us you told us so, and that you didn't really expect to win because of all the injuries to Ben and the hitting with your head nonsense. By the way, regarding Harrrison, he does lead with his head quite often. I disagree with you in that he has perfect tacklingposture...you want to see perfect hitting/tackling, watch Lewis tonight- he hits the way one is supposed to hit...and he never gets fined either. Back to point, my assertion is that you are downplaying the Steelers and if they lose, you won't look like a complete ass, and if they win, hey you can be as happy as a pig in shit....works out perfectly.

Anyway, I would just like to ask why the all of a sudden no confidence in your beloved Steelers?

Dear John from Boston- Dude, I know you are probably exhausted from doing back flips in your new living room because OG went down with another injury(and threw a pick too in the process), however, Frazier already said OG is keeping his job next week. You just can't OG.. :)

My three year old started yelling, "Og!, OG!" I turned around to the TV and Favre was doing his presser. My kid loves OG. :)

My trifecta posts-

The NFL, if it continuers down this pussified path, may lose viewers. I am really starting to literally become disgusted by these "unessary roughness" calls. Su, of Detroit, pushed Cutler down and was flagged 15 yards...this when Cutler was a "runner" and was scrambling for a first down. This is just becoming too much. This protection crap is just that, crap. Su did nothing wrong. I am absolutely convinced that the NHL is more tough than the NFL...no doubt in my mind now.

Boy that's some punishment!!!

Update: The Raiders have taken the 2nd half kick and have driven to San Diego's 30. :D

I think a more fitting punishment would be for someone to dig up TVL's longest runonsentenceparagraph post and make you read it 10 times!

In defense of the refs. I was yelling for the same call. At full speed it did look like he threw a forearm to the back of his dome. Suh, is stupid for throwing a blow to propel the guy forward, when he was obviously close enough to tackle him. Stupid of him. I agree the refs got it wrong, but it never should have happened in the first place.

Uh, Dean, come on dude. Stop stretching for straws to try to "see through my posts." I simply write down how I feel and the above observation is no different in how I see things at the moment or beyond. What exactly do you want me to say? If I back the Steelers to death and pick them EVERY week to win and sing their praises to the Super Bowl, I'm a "homer' and "blinded by my own black and gold koolaid" but when I write something that is CLEARLY taking place (ask any Steelers fan or ANYONE else who watched this team around, they'll prob tell you the same thing I wrote above because ESPN sure did agree) I am "setting my posts up to not make myself look like an ass." It's no different than John from Boston's predictions of "I pick New England by 10, but wouldn't be shocked to see them lose by 3 touchdowns!" What gives dude? Stop stretching just to argue with me. (By the way, in EVERY Steelers loss this year, I've picked them to lose.)

By the way, I haven't lost confidence in my Stillers, games like this DEFINE Pittsburgh and who we've become and to my understanding, picked them tonight to win because so much is riding on them to earn their victory but the offensive line is all over the place and is on their 9th line rotation, our Quarterback who means so much to our team and success of his game has a broken foot, and the past two games saw us go over 200 yards in penalties. That's a concern, esp a huge game going into Baltimore.

BTW: Stop contradicting yourself! You've been doing it almost 3 times WEEKLY! You posted last week that Harrison was making nice hits and there's nothing he can do.

Man, I agree. That to me was a good fucking knock by Harrison. What else can he do for Christ's sake?! I don't think Goodell understands how fast the NFL is and how fast the game is played...a player can't stop on a dime. I just hate the way this is heading. He is making it as pussified as the NBA for shit's sake.

Now, it's:

By the way, regarding Harrrison, he does lead with his head quite often. I disagree with you in that he has perfect tacklingposture....

Make up your mind big man!

This is probably the worst slump of Mannings career, but what if he pulls it out and wins this game IN THE MIDST of throwing 2 pick 6's? It's still phenomenal for Indy to be down only by 7 entering the 4th. Manning really is taking on too much he can handle and is pretty much playing head coach AND QB of his football team at the same time.

Props to the Raiders. I am down with chugging the beers. I will steal Lula's out of her fridge, Hahaha!

Anyway, I am impressed with Oakland's ability to pressure the QB. Their front four were real good today.

On a side note, always good to see Dallas blow a 17 point lead on the road...hopefully on their way to yet another loss.

You should be a political commercial maker, taking things and putting them into improper context.

I said, I thought Harrison's hit last week, his last fine, was ok....However, he has been fined what, 5, 6 times this season? I am not arguing any of the previous 5. He should take a call from Ray Lewis. Lewis scares the holy fuck out of people, and he hits the proper way, everytime. Tonight, I feel for Ben. Dude will look like a giant black and gold statue of Liberty....or a juicy Porterhouse steak to Lewis. He might just break that big fucker into pieces tonight.

My three year old started yelling, "Og!, OG!" I turned around to the TV and Favre was doing his presser. My kid loves OG. :)

Dude...if Peyton Manning keeps playing the way he is, I'm going to start calling him the Human Turnover. This fucker has 7 picks in two weeks. This is embarrassing.
