37,000 fully enrolled in N.Y. health exchange


Nearly 174,000 New Yorkers have applied for health insurance through the state’s new exchange program, and 37,030 have fully enrolled, the state Health Department said Wednesday.

It’s the first time that the state has detailed how many people have actually enrolled in the program. Previously, they would only say how many had signed up through the state’s website, but not how many had actually picked a health provider.

The uninsured customers often found that they were eligible for Medicaid, the federal health insurance for the poor and disabled, the state said.

About 23,717 of the new enrollees discovered they could get Medicaid because of their income levels; New York has more than 5 million people on Medicaid. The rest of the new enrollees, 13,313, picked private insurance, the health department said.

Cool, close to 24,000 new leeches to the system for the the other 13,000 to pay for. Infuckingsanity!

In Washington State the figures are 87 percent to 13 percent of leeches out numbering the payers.

One Florida woman is going from paying $54 a month to $591 under Obamacare, CBS reports:

"For many, their introduction to the Affordable Care Act has been negative: A broken website, and now cancellation notices from insurance companies, followed by sticker shock over higher prices for the new plans," says a CBS reporter. "It's directly at odds from repeated assurances from the president."

Obama is quoted as saying, "If you like your insurance plan, you will keep it. No one will be able to take that away from you."

"But people across the country are finding out they're losing their existing insurance plans under Obamacare," says the reporter. "In Florida, at least 300,000 people are losing coverage."

"When I got this bill, I was outraged," CBS quotes a 56-year-old Florida resident who got dropped from her health care plan.

Her new plan will be 10 times higher than what she's paying now, jumping from $54 a month to $591.

"What I have right now is what I'm happy with, and I just want to know why I can't keep what I have," says the woman. "Why do I have to be forced into something else?"

Our problems (as you've stated) are policy problems.. not "form of government" problems.

Socialism is still socialism.. and ultimately marginalizes the output of it's population, while accumulating unsustainable debt.


And as far as the Euro-economy is going...





Eurozone GDP is negative, and in aggregate likely recessionary. The only bright spot is Germany, but they have been financing much of the Euro bailouts with their GDP growth, but that accumulation of Euro-debt vs. their GDP, they won't (can't) continue to do forever. And with Euro debt-to-GDP not falling, this means more bailouts coming, but only if Germany agrees to finance it.. which German citizens are already against doing unless the 27 member countries agree to a "Fiscal Union".. which would mean ceding sovereignty to a central authority... which none of them will do. This ends with a worthless Euro as member nations are eventually kicked out for their sovereign debt as each reaches crisis ... which ultimately destroys the veracity of the Euro itself.. and bankrupts the whole Euro concept..

I wonder if anyone in the United States actually believed this or the lie about keeping your insurance. I mean if someone was that blind, maybe they should be taxed the most because they obviously can't do simple math equations. We can tell them we are taxing them at 10% but really take 90%.
