I completely disagree with this. The very fact that such military leaders have been entrenched in their ideology and methods of problem resolution is why their opinions should be taken with a huge amount of skepticism.

The Bay of PIgs invasion was a plan developed by such military advisers, under the sponsorship of a military General and President, Eisenhower. Because this plan was so well thought of, Kennedy executed it...and it was a HUGE failure.

The Cuban missile crisis had the military advising Kennedy to bomb the missiles to take them out. Instead, he took the advice of others outside of the military to enact the blockade.

If Kennedy had not learned his lesson from the Bay of Pigs and instead done as you are demanding Obama do, we may have fought WWIII.

I would MUCH rather have Obama acting like the experience JFK then the version that authorized the Bay of Pigs. In fact, I think it is a huge compliment to say he doesn't listen to his military advisers and enact their every whim. Such stupidity is what got us into situations like Iraq in the first place.

I agree that it is that region's problem. That they need to bring the fight to defeat these radical factions. The rest of the world should be asking them why they haven't put forth their own united effort to solve this reoccurring problem. I think one reason is that we, the U.S. runs to them at their beacon call. Which is great for them. That way they don't have to spend their money, use their weapons and put their people on the front lines. Even when we just supply weapons to who we think are the good guys they end up falling into the hands of the enemy. I think it has been proven by now the neither the U.S. nor any other country or nation outside this region can solve their problems. I think we need to step back and "let the chips fall where they may". Should these radical factions bring the fight to the U.S., then we should take a more broad and far reaching action without the "tip toe" dance around hurting a cultures feelings.

Except for the fact that the B.O. administration had been talking about the air strikes for months. By now ISIS has probably has moved things critical to their operations to other locations. These terror threats can only be solved by changing the culture in that region. It's something that I don't think the U.S. nor any other country or nation outside of the Middle East can do. So in short, unless you are going to make a parking lot out of that region of the world you will just be going round in circles.

They either quietly sympathize with the beliefs put forward by these outspoken radicals and\or are so afraid of them to not openly speak out and act out against them due to fear of retribution. My question is will the people of that region of the world ever wake up and realize that by not stepping up in a unified fashion to change their culture away from the things that create these radical ideals that they very likely will suffer a similar fate that Europe did during WWII. Meaning having a lot of their homeland reduced to rubble as well as many innocent people losing their lives. I have very little hope they will and that they are well on their way to the death and destruction I mention here.

That the people in that region who state they do not subscribe to these radical views of "Islamic Law" do not put forth a real united effort (consistently and regionally) to renounce this type of ideology. WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Eric Holder is resigning after heading the Justice Department for six years.

A White House official says President Barack Obama will announce Holder's departure later Thursday.

Holder is the first black attorney general, and his tenure is the fourth longest on the job.
