And, Bill Maher gets it right:

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/09/2 ... =facebook#

You know conservatives love to vilify anyone who doesn’t want to immediately throw down as appeasers. But when you are dealing with terrorists, whose aim is to bait us into overreaction, and you oblige them, aren’t you the appeaser? …

Well it’s been thirteen years since 9/11 when our first responders rushed into action and got all the Saudi Arabians out of the country. … But we still don’t seem to have learned that for terrorism to work, it takes two. They are selling terror and boy are we buying. Lindsey Graham, the Senates own Blache Dubois, is the scaredest person in the world. Lindsey said that ISIS is so all powerful. If the president doesn’t rise to the occasion we are all going to get killed back here at home. He actually said that.

Republican Trent Franks said that ISIS currently is on the US border and that there is no question that they have designs on coming into Arizona--Oh my God. The Brown people and the other Brown people– …

I feel bad about the journalists who were killed. And I admire greatly their courage to go to the most dangerous places in the world. But it was their choice. And when you choose to live among cut throats, you might get your throat cut. Do Americans living here really think they are going to be next? One day it happens in the desert outside Mosul and the next day you are standing in line for the new iPhone and crrr.

Would we be this terrified if ISIS didn’t make videos or wear black and have a scary name. ISIS. It sounds like they should be fighting the X-Men. ISIS. Simultaneously cool sounding and stands for pure evil. Like Monsanto. …

Monsanto who we recently learned puts an ingredient in RoundUp, their ubiquitous crop spray, called Polyethoxylated tallow amine that is far more toxic than anyone realized. Folks, ISIS isn't going to kill you. Things like Polyethoxylated tallow amine, that's what's going to kill you. But try selling that idea to the United States of Pantshitters.

Actually, to her credit last week, Hillary Clinton did try. Se said, "climate change is the most consequential, urgent, sweeping collection of challenges we face," a statement -- a statement that outraged Republicans because it contains the two things that they simply will not abide, science and truth.

I'm not saying that there aren't people out there who want us dead, I'm just saying there are much more likely killers right here. But for us, it's only real when it on a video that Anderson Cooper warns us not to watch and then shows it ten thousand times.

But you know what, climate change doesn’t stand a chance because you cannot capture rising sea levels on a six-second Vine video. What we need to do is to get a polar bear to punch someone in an elevator.

You're right Monker. Now please... migrate to the areas where the ISIS occupy. They don't have a weed problem in the terrain they fester in so they don't use roundup. You'll be all safe and happy over there. And trust me on this one....so will we :D

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Eric Holder is resigning after heading the Justice Department for six years.

A White House official says President Barack Obama will announce Holder's departure later Thursday.

Holder is the first black attorney general, and his tenure is the fourth longest on the job.

He plans to remain at the Justice Department until his successor is in place.

I can say that I am not shedding tears by this news. The question is are things going to go from bad to worse. We will know more when they announce who his replacement will be. After all, it could be someone with even more radical ideals or look the other way when it comes to prosecuting people.

Im not a fan of Maher, but I have heard him say some things that make sense. And Ive heard him say he believes that Islam IS a threat to the western way of life. I hope he is meaning here that to support the threat of and those behind the terror is Stupid. (Let them kill themselves) and we stay out of it all.

Why cant we just make America safe from all threats by doing it IN America?

So will Obama's approval rating go up since he decided to bomb Syria? I witnessed a stand firm Obama supporter I know totally turn on him the other day, saying he conned us and he's just another war profiteering Neo-Con. That was rich coming from him! He now holds him in the same disdain as Bush. Frankly I laughed my ass off, as it's always fun seeing a lefty having one of those special moments of buyer's remorse. Yeah, your boy isn't all that, after all.

Sounds ALOT like you, KC, Dave, and every other Con on this forum who now swear off George W, and deny his Conservative qualities (while secretly jerking off to the limited edition Hasbro GI George Bush flight suit action figure you keep under your bed). As for Obama...REAL liberals knew he was a fraud from the very beginning. The guy was as bought and paid for as the Clintons or Bushes. So why would ANYONE be surprised that he likes drones, bombs, and spying. That's what EVERY president does.

Good luck with that one. KC is probably furiously Googling to find a press release from a Conservative stand-up comedian he can post.

So I Just received some renewal information for my health insurance. The premium has gone up, the co-pays have gone up, the coinsurance has gone up and now there's coinsurance on things that didn't have it in the past. I thought the idea of the "Affordable Health Care Act" was to reduce costs for healthcare in addition to providing access to those that did not have it before. When the rubber meets the road all I am seeing is the same old story. This just reaffirms for me that Obamacare has done nothing more then force people to pay for those that aren't paying for coverage.

Not in my book. I avoid Obama period! all of his sound bits, speeches, pix, etc. etc. etc. When I watch news on the war or read it in articles, I skip past Moron Obama, Babbling Biden, Clueless Kerry, and all the rest of this current administration. The military brass reporting progress are those who should be filling the billets of our government instead. It's my opinion that this current administration decided to hand over the initiating, planning, executing, monitor & control, as well as reporting this current military effort over to those who know exactly what the fuck they are doing. It's completely obvious to be fact.

Where is there evidence to back up any of Franks' claim? He is just making shit up to stir up fear to get people to vote against Democrats..which is exactly what W and Cheney did.

You are doing a disservice to the country by supporting these invented, fear inspiring, statements by a congressman in an election year.

And, there is no reason to sneak across the Mexican border if you are a terrorist. That is just stupid and playing into politics. My God, go to India, get training in the tech industry and then come to the US as a contractor looking for work. Why are you people so quick to believe something so lame?

Do Americans living here really think they are going to be next?

You are not even speaking to Maher's point. The Republicans are making it sound like we may get our throats slit by ISIS just by walking down a busy street...as if we are "all going to die". Not all terrorism that happens in the US have links to Muslims...and you are a fool to ignore that and pay so much attention to muslims.

And, you were already paying for it by the Republican plan of "if you don't have insurance, go to the emergency room." Then they never pay, and the cost of providing health care goes up, which is passed on to everybody.

Which buggers you referring to? Monk and TNC, the ISIS....or both?

If ISIS, we're already doing that. Here's the roundup I'm talking about:

Now that's how you weed the garden.

I was referring to Radical Muslims. We need to keep Monk and TNC around, we can always use useful idiots, Lawns need mowed and burgers need flipped and someone has to ring up my Roundup at Home Depot. :D

Yeah, we need Monker around to study the long term effects of roundup.

LOL...moron. I've already been involved in that industry in real life, as I already posted. Like I said, I'm Round Up Ready.

I'll put it this way...Companies like Monsanto or DuPont, know exactly what they are doing. RoundUp kills everything...exxcept the crop that has the "Round Up Ready" gene. But, wait, you killed all of the other plants so bugs eat the crop instead. That's OK, we have insecticide. But, that doesn't kill the corn borers which are underground. Well, buy our seed which has a special coating applied to take care of the problem...oh, and BTW, it's particularly hot/cold/wet/dry/windy where you live so we'll make it a GMO seed to improve performance against the elements, too. And, if you buy this special package that includes everything you need, we'll give you a special deal....and even a loan if you need it...just don't go to the competition. Next year, call us, we'll have all of this preselected for you and your loan preapproved...no need to even look at the competition ever again.

That's how the seed and chemical industry works...nobody cares how it affects people...as long as "it" increases yield.

I'm saying that you can't rule it out as a possibility and that it would be prudent to take action that would make the border more secure. I am not saying that I believe exactly with Frank's claim. I believe that there has been intelligence information that states that ISIS has indicated this is one of the ways they would enter the U.S. undetected. It's easier and less time consuming then the example you have given. The are plenty of people on the other side of the border willing to escort you over the border with no questions asked as long as the price is right.

The Republicans are making it sound like we may get our throats slit by ISIS just by walking down a busy street...as if we are "all going to die". Not all terrorism that happens in the US have links to Muslims...and you are a fool to ignore that and pay so much attention to muslims.

I don't subscribe to what Maher says the Republicans are. It's my opinion that Maher is down playing the possible threat. Sure there have been acts of domestic terrorism. But as of late our biggest threat has been from radicalized Muslims. 9/11 shows it. The Boston Marathon bombing shows it. Even our own intelligence has shown that ISIS appears to be a much larger and better organized threat then al-Qaeda. The way I view it is if the Republicans are going way overboard in their perception of the threat, Maher is going overboard in the opposite direction. But I expect that from him.

That's my point. Nothing has changed except moving the shells around to make you think there will be a better result. As far as who was or is going to emergency room for non urgent care, the last report from the Dept. of Health showed that the vast majority were those with Medicaid and not the uninsured. So whether they are going to the emergency room or a doctor's office, their still not paying for it. All that's changed is the subsidized pool has gotten larger.

Sure ya don't. I could make it easy for ya, and lob nothing but argumentative softablls (ex. the world is flat, bloodletting is a miracle cure, electricity is witchcraft) and STILL, your only rebuttal would be a roll-call of liberal boogeyman: "Alinsky!", "Ayers!", "Soros!" You are so fucking bad at debating, that when you try to break it to your children that Santa Claus doesn't exist, you end up walking away questioning your own beliefs and leaving a plate of warm cookies on the mantle just in case.

Networks fail to report reason for Holder resignation

http://www.examiner.com/article/network ... esignation

In the late breaking development concerning the resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder, the mainstream media news outlets failed to report the reason for Holder's departure. For example, although CBS News mentioned that Holder had been the only attorney general in U.S. history to be held in contempt of Congress, the network failed to cite this as a key reason Holder decided to bail. The omission speaks volumes.

Holder's resignation comes on the heels of a ruling today by a federal judge that the contempt of Congress citation against Holder can proceed to the next level. House leaders had been stymied by the refusal of Holder and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to comply with requests for appropriate documents in the ongoing investigations into the Fast and Furious debacle. The House further was thwarted by the refusal of DOJ personnel to cooperate with Congress in the ongoing investigations.

The Obama administration had argued that the courts should stop the contempt citation from moving forward in the courts. Thus, the ruling today is a victory for the U.S. House of Representatives, which had found itself unable to move forward in the Fast and Furious investigation due to stonewalling and the refusal to cooperate on the part of Holder and other top DOJ officials. The ruling, further, is a major setback for Holder and Obama, who had been hiding themselves behind "executive privilege" in refusing to cooperate with Congress.

Judicial Watch had taken the Obama administration to court in order to force the DOJ's hand in turning over the pertinent documents, which it had withheld from Congress. Now that the court has ruled against Holder and Obama, the House Committee can proceed to the next level of its investigation. And Obama and Holder can no longer claim executive privilege in continuing to withhold evidence.

That evidence not only includes the alleged involvement of the very top tier of the Obama administration in authorizing illegal activity but the full account of the circumstances surrounding the murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, who was killed with one of the guns that the administration used in the Fast and Furious scandal.

The Examiner reported extensively on Fast and Furious at the time that whistleblowers within the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) came forward to report that the agency had been involved in a massive scheme, planned and coordinated at the very top levels of the Obama administration, to place U.S. guns into the hands of dangerous Mexican drug cartels. The government claims it was "a tracking attempt, a sting operation gone bad."

But whistleblowers and investigative reporters such as David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh discovered that there was no sting and no attempt to track illegal firearms. Rather, the scheme was implemented in order to attempt to "prove" the false meme of administration officials that "most of the illegal guns used by Mexican drug cartels come from the United States." This meme was to be hammered home as far and wide as possible in order to build support for more restrictive U.S. gun laws. Not only were officials at the top level of the ATF involved in the scheme but so were top officials at the DOJ, Hillary Clinton at the State Department, Janet Napolitano at the Department of Homeland Security, and others, not to mention Obama.

ATF whistleblowers began to notice that no illegal weapons were being recovered in the so-called "sting operation," which led them to do some covert digging around at the agency to discover what, exactly, was going on. What they discovered was widespread corruption, illegal activity, and covert attempts to undercut the gun rights of ordinary citizens.
