EXACTLY. If the Ravens are up by 21, then they did what any team wish's to do. Run the clock and gain any points as possible to add to the lead, even if it's 3's.

After tomorrow, we could have 2 huge in-division matchups in the divisional round (N.Y @ N.E, possible Baltimore @ Pittsburgh) Bring it on!

I was going to say...If the Jets can only beat the Colts by 2 points, I don't give them much of a shot against the Patriots.

The Jets beat the Pats once this season, 28-14 and Manning was one dumb pick away from beating N.E earlier in the season. What a game this could be.

As John and I have told you numerous times....NE fields more starting rookies than any other team on defense....Jets won in game TWO! Defense has jelled since then....

NE- 38
Jets - 17

Yep, by the score of 28-14, a victory, against the same personal (aside from Santonio) and same 11 guys in 2010. I think this is where Deano should come in here and use his well thought out tactics against you when setting yourself up if the Pats lose. If they lose, it'll be because of injury, the refs, and now because they field rookies on their team. If they win however, you'll claim their dominance.

Anyway, I think the Jets stink and the Pats beat them handily, but if the Jets wake up from their last beating at the hands of the Pats on D, they could surprise. A hated rivarly at its best.

I'd still MUCH rather face the Jets than the Mannings. The Pats can never seem to put away the Colts. The Jets will put up a hell of a fight, and have a good chance to beat New England, but they're not in the Patriots' heads like Indy is.

Leaving for tailgate at Arrowhead stadium in 7 hours. Need to get to bed. Going to be cold so have my Michelin man clothes ready to go.

Chiefs going to win? Don't know. Going to be a good time. Most certainly. Nothing like Arrowhead during a playoff game.

Just found my ticket stub in my winter gear...January 1998. Ouch.

Arrowhead is legendary. I've always LOVED playoff games in that place. Still not sure the Chiefs have what it takes to beat Baltimore. I think Baltimore is simply too tough of a team.

I obviously don't subscribe to S2M's endless, moronic excuses for EVERYTHING. That said, if the Jets win, it's not because they're a better team. You point out the Jets beat the Patriots in week two, but you conveniently forgot to mention that the Patriots completely embarrassed the Jets during the second meeting! It's the NFL, and anything can happen. I am confident that Rex Ryan will have the same exact strategy against the Patriots that he had against the Colts...keep the ball away from the QB on the opposing team. If the Jets put together a couple of 15 play, 10 minute drives, they have a chance to beat anyone, but I'm definitely not picking them!

Everyone knows of the thrashing and beating the Jets took from the Pats (along with any other team.) It was more of a mention that the Jets still indeed beat New England in response to how could anyone give the Jets a shot at winning since their W against the Pats this year is still documented. No way, no how am I picking against Brady at home against the Jets but if they find the blueprint in how Baltimore dealt with N.E last season (clock control which amounts to points, a vicious ground game and a relentless defense) then they have a shot.

"Blueprints" are VASTLY overrated in football. Football is a VERY simple game. If the Patriots (and it's obviously an "If") keep playing how they've played and don't turn the ball over, the Jets aren't beating them, period, end of story. If Brady comes out and forgets that he's Tom Brady and throws three picks, the Patriots won't beat anyone.

I'm a firm believer in blue prints because every team has a set standard and a set management in how they run their team that if they let down their guard for one game at any time, another team will adjust and plan around it to find the loopholes in what another team sets out to do whether it be play calling, percentages or gameplan. Like you said, the problem with beating N.E is that they do things so well and barely ever, EVER hurt themselves in a football game to the point where there is no certain adjustment for a team to do against them in any key situation. If they can find a weakness in their game, it came be exploited. Finding that loophole is the challenge since N.E is so sharp in protecting themselves.

If NE wins the coin toss they will defer....then you had better hope you keep the game game close - cause they get the ball first after halftime. If you are behind...you will just get further behind. The Patriots DO have a blueprint for getting beat: turnovers. You had better hope you get a couple, and capitalize.....or Rexy will get an early jump on that next foot fetish.....

Of course turnovers, but even if the other team, whoever it is, plays their game and tries to control the clock to keep Brady off the field but either takes a 3 OR no points at all then they'd be worse off. Points need to be taken advantage of against the Pats. If teams have lengthy drives but can't translate those drives into points then that's digging an even deeper hole against Brady who can score at will. Before you know it, the game will be over with N.E up by 20 points.

Ah, 0-2 already in this early round of the unpredictable NFL playoffs. The huge upset already happened and happened early, but I'm still picking another potential.

Baltimore @ Kansas City: I've been saying all along that if the Chiefs host a playoff game, then noone would be eager to go into the new Arrowhead in that hostile environment. The Ravens aren't that good as their 12-4 record indicates and could get snake bitten today against a Chiefs team that could potentially spread them out. The Chiefs may be only a ONE win playoff team, and it will only come today. Chiefs by 4.

Green Bay @ Philadelphia: I picked the Pack to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this season so I'm riding them until they die. If you look at the Packers team, they have a very nice playoff team that could go very far in the post season. Vick and the Eagles have tapered off recently and Vick is a little banged up in some spots so I think this is Green Bay's game to take. Rodgers is a STUD. Packers by 7.

When KC scored that touchdown and watching them taking it to the Ravens early on I was pretty shocked. Then I remembered this post and it all made sense. The dude who's always wrong picked Baltimore!

Little do the Packers know, they're doomed! Damn it I wanted them to win the Super Bowl!!! Maybe next year.

K.C is surprisingly dominating the Ravens in the trench's on both sides of the ball. Charles is a STUD and is gaining like, 8 yards per rush or so. Unreal. Baltimore is losing the battle of their own game and with Flaccid being Flaccid and that Chiefs run D playing great, That doesn't play into Flaccid's game.
