You have got to be kidding me, you are bitching that a higher wage earner paying more taxes yet rail about the richer who pay most all of the taxes. WTF? The first $12 grand is income tax free, $24 grand if married jointly. Let's say a 10% rate, a $9 a hour dude nets $8.10, a $15 an hour dude nets $13.50 what the fuck is wrong with this, and with your math skills?At 40 hours a week the $15 an hour dude nets $540. The $9 an hour dude nets $324. Those numbers and after the first $12/$24k tax free. And you have a problem with this? Wow!
I have an issue with it because of the peripheral stuff surrounding it. How is an employee that started 2 years ago, and making $16.00/hr, started at say...$12/hr going to feel that someone walking in the door is making almost what they are making?
So after the backlash, companies will adjust...and wages will go up for existing employees, and Washington gets MORE taxes.
