You'll definitely see it on the hightlights Matt. Complete embarrassment of a call. The Steelers are a very good team and don't need help from the officials to win games. As for the game you're watching, I am now convinced that the Saints aren't even a good team. I realize that with this loss that they're still a game over .500, but I just don't think the defending Super Bowl Champs can get smoked by the Browns.

That's where he screwed up Travis. You can't assume he broke the plain if you don't see the ball cross. When there's a big pile up at the goal line. That's why the line judges race in to unpile to see if it crossed! Miami was shafted.

They actually corrected that call on the replay, RWF and correctly said that it was a fumble.

McDaniels is a complete clown. He has gutted that team.

Listen, I know you're a die-hard Steelers fan and that's more than okay but your rational is moronic! If you watched the game, Miami was clearly playing through the play and recovering the football. Hell, CBS even showed the replay of a Miami defensive player coming out of the pile and holding the football up. I get it...Pittburgh won the game, but the officials blew that game, period, end of story! If the officials award the ball to Miami on the 20 (which clearly was the right call), the game was over. If you're a fan of the game and not just of a team, you should care about whether or not officials are choking away games, whether it affects the team you're wearing Underoos for or not!
If the officials award the ball to Miami on the 20 (which clearly was the right call), the game was over.
YoungJRNY wrote:they couldn't have called it any other way in the booth since the ruling on the field was a T.D anyhow, whatever happened after is a moot point and dead ball.

Dude...did you even watch the game. You couldn't be more wrong about what you're saying. If you listen to the officials explanation, he VERY clearly stated that the ball was a fumble and that they were awarding the ball to Pittsburgh, because "they couldn't determine who recovered the ball". It had absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that it was a "dead ball", as you claim. Considering it was ruled a fumble (and correctly so), it CLEARLY wasn't a "dead ball" and it's more than obvious from the 30 replays that CBS played that Miami recovered that ball. Honestly, if that were the Patriots, I would definitely be happy that they "stole one", but my opinion wouldn't change that the officials completely hosed Miami and handed the game to Pittsburgh.
Don wrote:The Chargers never fail to disappoint. Self destruct in the first half because one of their receivers forgets this is the NFL, not college and add to that a hokey kickoff trick that backfires on them. The Patriots, who are playing with smoke and mirrors as far as I'm concerned leave the door open by not really capatilizing on any of the mayhem the Bolts are inflicting on themselves.
Despite four S.D. turnovers, the script is already written for another Bolt meltdown. Come all the way back because the defense is playing lights out only to have an offside call push your kicker back to the 50 (a guy who wasn't even signed last week) and CLANK!!, off the goalpost.
When it came to late 4th quarter comebacks, Rivers used to win these type of games last year. Now, It seems the law of averages has finally caught up with him.

Really? Going 9-16 for 74 yards and 0 touchdowns? Haha. The Browns picked off Brees 4 times. Browns victory was all about their D. That fake punt was AWESOME! Expect the Brownies to do more of that, they got nothing to lose and the Browns are that "bad-okay" team that could give teams fits.

It's really a shame that you let your fanboy colored glasses blind you sometimes when it comes to the Steelers and Browns. Colt's performance today is not to be denigrated.
He was an impressive game manager, made no dumb mistakes against a VERY tough blitzing defense, and helped keep the team fired up through impressive poise/leadership. The guy has absolutely no receivers right now - our thin receiving corp was even worse today with no Mo Mass. What do you expect him to do, throw for 350 and 3 TDs when his only weapons are Cribbs (doing better at receiver this year, but come on), Evan Moore, and Ben Watson? In 2.5 weeks, the kid went from being a third-string rookie QB who Holmgren and Mangini had outright declared would not play this year to going up against the league's best and nastiest defense in one week and the defending Super Bowl champs the next. He helped deliver the win today by not making the dumb mistakes that have cost us wins in every game so far this season save the Steelers game (just outplayed there).
I'm not anointing the kid the next elite NFL QB at this point, but the stats tell about 1/8th of the story with McCoy today.
The Browns were horrible last year and it was torture to watch them. This year, I've enjoyed each and every effort. They could easily be 5-2 save for the aforementioned costly dumb mistakes (and yes, I know that is the story for a lot of teams, but last year we just got demolished more often than not). I think the future is bright with this new regime in charge.
Cleveland is taking a step in a positive direction but that's where it ends, atleast for 2010. Mike Holgrem I'm sure can instill the mentality that a Cleveland team needs and drafted a future could-be star in Colt McCoy.

How could someone ever not notice that douche Favre doing it? That fucker has been doing it for 20 freakin' years. You'd have to have your head up your ass not to notice. As for Rodgers...I actually find it embarrassing that he does it. I mean, the guy played in the shadow of Favre while Favre was still there and now he actually comes out and emulates exactly what he does? Fucking bizarre!
