I'm looking forward to hearing it. I'll most likely never see them live again and haven't since 2006 but I do look forward to new releases.

I'm going to get it. It's a Journey record. There are so many that are pissed at the band for so many reasons, and probably rightfully so. But I'm in it for the music, not the drama. I know all of the little tidbit details about what went on through their whole career. At one point or another someone got fucked. That's just part of it, and by no means does it just extend to Journey, it extends to most every band that has had any success at all. The point of all of it, after all, is the music. And that's what I am interested in. Does Journey make good music? You bet your ass they do, and if you can just sidestep all the bullshit, and there's bullshit a plenty, then you can enjoy it.

I guess there's a difference in being a fan of a band and a fan of their music. If you're a fan of music, then you can, again, sidestep the bullshit and enjoy their records. Letting all the other bullshit that gets in the way is a huge waste of time, if you ask me.

I hope you're doing well Tim.

I'm interested in this hard rock direction they say they're going to take. And yeah will go to shows still because they are the background music to our gatherings, lol.

I'm addicted to Journey. Seen 'em 25 times since 1981. I'll watch them play and buy their records no matter what.

Rick, I really think you are a great guy and would honestly do anything in the world for ya.
Im just burned out now, every time I turn around Journey Today is doing something else to alienate the fans. Ive decided to appreciate the good times, the Perry times. As far as Im concrned Journey died when they fired Augeri. I just cant handle anything else from them. I'd really like to kick the shit out of Neal Schon and I hope/wish he knew it.

Alienating the fans? By touring, recording and releasing music?

Me too, lol, but I figure touring days for these bands are on the downhill slide and might as well see what we can

Thanks man. If I may suggest, let the shit go. If you like the music, listen to it. That's my approach. I'm not going to miss out on good music by bogging my life down with the aforementioned crap. I'm a fan of the music, first and foremost. What these dickgrabbers do in their off time is secondary at best.

I good portion of the bands I listen to regularly have done stuff I don't approve of. Hell, just look at all the crap that's happened with Van Halen, another one of my favorite bands.

I'm coming to Florida this summer and it will most likely coincide with a Journey show. I fully expect to see Mel, Lynn and Angela there. Gator can come, too. He'll just have to sit in the parking lot and pout in protest while the rest of us attend the sold out show.

Think about it this way. When people go to youtube to look at Journey... they will see Arnel leading the band, and then they will see tribute bands. Since MOST general fans don't know anyone in the band, except the lead singers normally, how will they ever know WHICH band is the real Journey? I see it as self preservation and keeping their fans from getting confused.
