Except for possibly Glenn Hughes, I can't think of any other male rock singer that still sounds as good at that age. Amazing, really.

Guy sounds great, the new cd has some great music on it as well

He not only sounds amazing, he LOOKS like he isn't a day over 50. Until they closed up some on the camera I was going to say he looked like he was in his 40's. DAMN that guy's a freak of nature!

Mickey is great. Too bad the new Starship album is HUGE letdown. After all these years too. Hope Andrew reviews it at some point.

WOW, thanks for sharing that. Mickey's dropped off my radar over the years, but holy moly, what a great voice he's got. I loved his JS stuff (didn't dig the Built This City Album and hated when Grace sang). He was always a great singer.
The last I heard about Mickey was (and I don't know if this is true) some bastard in a bar cut his face all up. Have you guys heard that? Might've been a rumor, but supposedly, some jealous guy actually cut his face really bad. That's the story they told up here years ago.

Awesome voice. I saw them live I think 2 years ago, great show. I also agree Sammy Hagar has a great voice. Let's not forget Dennis de Young,Jeff Lynne,Robin Zandar.

Sammy still sounds good but his voice is audibly raspier than it was several years ago. Thomas sounds much closer to his prime, in my opinion.

I don't think Mickey hasn't experienced
any loss either, though. I'm guessing he was never (?) a smoker, so his voice is well-preserved.
No question guys like Sammy, Mickey and Glenn are freaks of nature. Glenn is only a year younger and still has the voice and energy he possessed in the '80s. Brand new video from California Breed:

Long drive today...going to give the new Starship cd another spin. So did nobody here buy it? "Knee Deep in the Hooplah" from the 80s is a great album imo. Haters be fucked.

No. And just as bad, she only sings on one track. For a record quite a few decades in the making, it's fairly weak.
