Agree on both points.

Pretty sure we already saw that movie play out in the 2016 primaries. "Traditional" Repubs like Jeb and Kasich don't stand a chance.

PG&E seems to be the scapegoat right now. First they didn't turn off the power and are getting sued because of the fires. And when they turned the power off when the winds kicked up, they got sued because of lost food and revenue from businesses in the area of the power outage.

Ultimately everyone has to pay, right? A dirtbag starts a forest fire and they sue the individual. But that individual has no money so they can sue but won't get anything out of it. But blame it on PG&E and sue them, a huge payout will occur. But that payout is ultimately from PG&E's paying customers.

This is the trend I've been seeing lately around Cali. Like the Ghost Ship Warehouse fire a few years back. Can't sue the pissants who set it up and ran it cause they aint got shit for payback funds to the victims friends and families. But sue the city, land owner(s), etc. and they can get lots of money for the friends, family and lawyers. And again, that money ultimately comes from taxpayers.

California is one example of how we can regulate to our own detriment. I guess animal lives were more important than human lives, in this case.

The Cali environmentalists for decades have prevented the building of reservoirs to capture rainwater and runoff from snow. These environmentalists claim that building such water retainers ruins the "natural" environment for both plant and animal life. So it's been bone dry throughout Cali for a very long time. Cali population has grown and such population growth causes growth of water consumption. Another contributing factor is Cali hasn't been clearing out forests of fire fuel materials like it should have been doing.

Straw man rhetoric. It's about adding value to wildlife and the environment, not subtracting from or removing or disregarding it completely like the bigwigs with the dollars want. If the environment gets fucked up completely, Silent Running becomes nonfiction. That may not happen in our lifetime, but future generations will have to deal with it, i.e. your descendants.

Hows that wildlife doing now? You need to go up there and tell those people to stop bitching because they lost their homes. I'm sure their homes did more damage to the wild life then anything. As a liberal, I'm sure you care far more about the wild life. I don't care what any lib on here thinks, if you have dry fuel, your going to have big fast moving fires. Just like the forrest Dept said when Clinton signed that Bill. Under brush and dead trees were cleared out of there for decades and fires were not as bad as they are now.

The left does not want to fix anything, so long as they have an opportunity to convince you that there is some dude named Climate Change, or Global Warming, running around lighting these fires. Hell with proper forestry. The more information that's coming out about this negligence, the angrier I'm getting. I really want it to be about PG&E's faulty wiring, or something, rather than what it's looking like it is. Over regulation, standing in the way of proper forest management, because of bleeding heart politicians. So, the question is, what did they save? Looks like thousands of people burned out of their homes, many burned to death, and any wild life they were aiming to save, by these regulations, have perished. It's fucked up!

That was not what I wrote. I am saying that someone like Kasich should quit the party and run as an independent. That would split the Republican vote and almost guarantee Pence would lose reelection.

I can only imagine the kind of tweets Agent Orange would have "composed" in the wake of 9-11.

Maybe it would be like, "this attack was caused by a anti Islam video posted on Youtube".

Didn't he say something to the effect of "Drumpf Dower is the tallest again" or something equally inane?

He also said “There were people that were cheering on the other side of New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations.
They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down. I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down — as those buildings came down. And that tells you something. It was well covered at the time, George. Now, I know they don’t like to talk about it, but it was well covered at the time. There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it, a heavy Arab population, that were cheering as the buildings came down. Not good.”

Must have been the same imaginary people hidden in the middle of the (now forgotten, and never mentioned) caravan.

I don't know who. We'll see - that is what I am saying.

Bernie may be able to win the nomination, but he wouldn't win the election. I would rather throw my vote away to the Libertarian party then vote for a socialist like Bernie, or to further the current craziness. IMO, that is a no win situation.

Your quote was included in my reply and I have included it again below. You mentioned an independent running as a "traditional Republican." You can't run as an independent and a Republican at the same time. Please be more clear in your use of language and don't dishonestly imply that you were misquoted.

It's funny how people live in two different worlds. The caravan may no longer be mentioned in the biased sources you read/watch, but I have heard it in the AP and Washington Post. If there has been a decrease in coverage, it's because the caravan has arrived at the US border faster than initially reported.

Coming from someone who thought Hillary was a shoo-in, this is actually a great predictor of success.
If Bernie was in the 2016 race, would Trump have been able to efectively play the NAFTA/trade card and appeal to blue dog democrats?
The answer is no.

Congressional oversight in the matters of the DOJ and FBI political weaponization has been negligent by design. While Special Counsel Robert Mueller creates the “ongoing investigation shield” for all who would be questioned, the republican-led congress has been weak in delivering any actionable results through oversight.

Every time I see the term "Congressional Oversight" is make me laugh. Due to the change in majority power in Congress this shit is dead in the water.

To quote Trump's Twitter feed after the election and prior to last Friday, " ."

After the election, he said NOTHING...after speaking on it almost daily in the weeks prior to the election.

That is all it was, a political scare tactic.

Now he is Tweeting about "catch and detain." What the fuck is wrong with this moron? He is actually going to REPEAT the bullshit "concentration camp" type setting that he did months ago with family separation. This administration is filled with the biggest dumb-fucks ever. I never ever thought anybody would act dumber than W, but Trump has sunk to unbelievable levels.

They are NOT ILEGAL if they apply for asylum. That is a simply a fact that Trump and Trump zombies refuse to admit.

When are Republicans going to stand up for basic human decency and denounce these inhumane political tactics? "Build a wall or we are going to have concentration camps and it will be the Democrats fault." He actually believes people are going to fall for this BULLSHIT?

ANY American should be furious about this crap. If you're not, then you shouldn't be here. It's CRAZY.

“Catch and Release is an obsolete term. It is now Catch and Detain. Illegal Immigrants trying to come into the U.S.A., often proudly flying the flag of their nation as they ask for U.S. Asylum, will be detained or turned away,” Trump tweeted. “Dems must approve Border Security and Wall NOW!”

Oh, please. You had the Presidency, the Senate, the House, a majority of the Supreme court....and for nearly TWO YEARS this BULLSHIT has been bounced around the various committees. If ANY of this had ANY real evidence and weight to it, it would be more than a "refer to the IG" response. This ship never even made it to dry dock, forget about it floating in water. It was never going to happen. All of this "tick tock" bullshit about memos and "just wait until..." was nothing but a political speak to keep conspiracy heads like KC reading, listening, and believing that something was just around the corner....when it never was in the building.

Do you still remember the date I said nothing would come out of Uranium One? It's common sense.

Ah, so indictments regarding process crimes that do not impact average Americans in the slightest merit news coverage, but things like declining wages and wasteful military spending do not? Good to know where you stand Drew.

Also, coverage on channels like MSNBC has not been limited to the Russian investigation. It's been a daily dose of non-stop, reds under the beds, fear-mongering. The other day, MSNBC/NBC anchor Chuck Todd even wondered if the mail bombs were sent from Russia. It's reaching full-blown paranoia over here.

Would it matter? You make it seem like the free press just acts as a megaphone for the president's twitter feed. As I already said, the caravan's arrival in Tijuana was covered by sources like the AP and Washington Post. Guess your top secret SIGNT sources forgot to clue you in. I think it's long overdue for you and your new bestie, Monker, to turn off the propaganda and go get a breath of fresh air.
