Tage as a long time Alice aficionado I strongly suggest you pick up copies of Alice’s “Schools Out” , “Billion Dollar Babies” and “Muscle of Love” albums for starters and maybe add those into your cassette chronicles series. I’d love to hear your take on those classic albums.

Just remembered, you should look for the documentary "Super Duper Alice Cooper", is was on Netflix and maybe Hulu or Amazon has it, if not it's worth owning a copy. Great docu with lots of unknown stuff that even an Alice head like me didn't know.

Well, I wouldn't put them in the Cassette Chronicles unless I actually bought them on cassette. And if I'm going to pick them up to listen to them to increase my knowledge of his back catalog, I'd just buy the CD version so as to avoid the possibility of the cassette getting eaten because of age.

But I do appreciate the feedback on album suggestions.

I got to see him around 1983. The warm up band was Loverboy. They got bood off the stage. People wanted Alice. Sadly, it was a double concert and I could only get tickets for the first show. So he was hurried and had to run through everything quickly so they could shoe us out for the second show. Still it was awesome.

I love the Killer and Love it to Death albums but Schools Out, BDB and MoL are just Alice at their very best imho. Of course Ballad of Dwight Frye from Love it to Death is Alice personified.

I've seen him live twice but missed him this summer. He's coming back to my area in early March but tickets are insanely priced so I'm going to miss him again I think.

Saw Alice with Deep Purple recently. Odd pairing and as much as I like Purple their show was too short, too much jamming (keyboard solo could have been 2 or 3 songs) , setlist lacking and no way they should have gone on after what Alice brought out there. He's playing Baltimore in a few months and I'll be there. Alice Cooper still delivers live big time.

"Alma Mater"

Rain is falling down my cheek searching for the sea
Tomorrow like the rain I'll be back home again
I watch the bus as it pulls out of view
Someday like that bus I will be leavin' too
But you know it breaks my heart to leave you camelback my high school
And now alone cryin' in my beer
'cause old friends said goodbye I guess I'll be leavin' too
But you know it breaks my heart to leave you Cortez I'll miss you
Yes I will yes I will you know I will
Yes I will yes I will you know I will
Well so long so long everybody everybody I hope that I would see you again again
Goodbye goodbye everybody everybody I finally grew up they finally let me out of school
Hey remember the time remember the time
We took that snake and we we put it down little Betsy's dress
Now I don't think Miss Axelrod was much impressed
Now I don't think Miss Axelrod was much impressed
Well I don't think Miss Axelrod was much impressed
Oh goodbye goodbye everybody everybody I hope that I would see you again again
So long so long everybody everybody
How do you like that they finally let me out of school
Goodbye goodbye ah I wanna get out of here
They let me out of school how 'bout that uh
Goodbye hey goodbye guys
Maybe I'll see maybe I'll see you around some time uh
Ay don't make a stranger of yourself uh remember the Coop uh
May I ho I hope you don't forget me or nothin' goodbye
