Jason Scheff - Solo Album - Here I Am

Not sure if there is any interest in Jason's work post-Chicago. He just released a solo album. He does some redos of Chicago tracks and some stand alone new material. He hooked up with Bill Champlin, and Bill did a good amount of vocal work, some lead, but primarily backing vocals on it. They do a more duet style version of Look Away that I think stands out nicely. Jason's track "Here I Am" is very good too. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked the album overall.

I got it the week after it came out. Took me a little while to get use to it. The vocals were a little too processed for my taste. Songs and writing was very good. I actually like his run in Chicago better than I did Ceteras'

I have been a Jason Scheff kick this past few weeks, listening to all his stuff with Chicago, solo and other projects. His last solo cd while good, the vocals STILL bug me. Are they auto tuned? While his voice sounds good, it lacks the soul his voice usually has.
