Vana/???????

Hello All.....

At 10:22 tonight I received an email...one I shall remember forever....it simply ready "I'm In!"

I have been dreaming of doing an album with this guy, this monster player songwriter since I was probably 12....one of my top favorite players in the world....and one of the best writers in rock...

It will very much please Mecca fans....it will please fans of his band immensely too as it will reflect both of our styles and passions in music....

It will be a bit before I can announce more...I was going to take a break, but breaks are for the weak hahahahah....I am going to buckle in and we can start writing...

This was a really good day!!!!

Too lazy to check what time it would have been in Japan when it was 10.22 in Chicago...but hope my inkling's right! Happy for you Joe whether I'm on the money or miles off!

No smoke and mirrors....Just can't reveal anything yet...will not replace Mecca, but will be a project I have looked forward to doing...

Will there be another Mecca??? Don't know.....but....Had a great day of reflection today...days like this are good...you see things clearly with the rose colored glasses off...and clarity can be a refreshing thing...I am very thankful for all the music I have been involved in, the 40 plus albums I have sang on the past 15 years, and the uber talented guys I have been lucky enough to work with...I am a normal guy, and appreciate all the support people have given me through the years...some more than others...

I look forward to the future...musically, personally....it no longer frightens me....and that is a BIG step forward for me....

I bet you and Dennis DeYoung would sound great together. I doubt it will ever happen though.

Hey Pat

We already have...."Too Miss Somebody" on Jim Peterik and World Stage....I do the backgrounds and have lead step out parts on the ending as well...I actually sang the original version and then Denny came in and replaced my leads...that was a fun day in the studio...showing DDY parts!!! He is a GREAT guy...one of the best, I see people blast him and they OBVIOUSLY do not know him...he is a genuine, real, honest guy...and funny as Hell, as in stand up funny!!!...Anyway...he is not it!!!

And, don't say never!!!

Guys...

I have tried REPEATEDLY to "Reach" this fine fellow....

It was a "I'm in!!" and then I cannot "Reach" him forever....

I thought my "Search is Over"...but instead I will just move on with Mecca III as planned...

I really feel that I could have made an Epic album with this amazing guitar player, as we have worked together before........

But it was not in the cards....

On To Mecca III..................

No...this has been an ongoing thing for years....

I am probably better off sticking close to home and Mecca anyway....it is what I do best.....plus, I can make the album I want as Mecca III...and take advantage of the freaking amazing band of players I am surrounded with....

It was worth the thought, the attempt.....

You guys can "wait" for the new Survivor album, and I will get cracking on Mecca III...
