Yes on both counts. However, "The Miracle" isn't far behind, music-wise.

Nor album cover-wise, Dave. I'd forgotten about that album.

Fortunately, they more than made up for that one with "Innuendo". Great album, especially the title track and "The Show Must Go On". I also liked "Made in Heaven", though half of the tracks are leftovers, basically. It seems that most Queen fans prefer Brian's version of "Too Much Love Will Kill You" but I much prefer the version sung by Freddie on this one. I've also always loved the song "Mother Love". One of the most poignant songs I can think of. That one brings a tear to my eye almost every time I hear it.

made in heaven is an amazing album,, and if you let it keep playing after its over , there is a min more of great sounding strings ... i understand it was difficult for freddy to sit durring some of that recording yet.. to me.. the vocals sound like HIM...

"Mother Love" was the last recording he ever made. It's really amazing what he was able to pull out of himself to record that, knowing that he would be dead before long.

Just downloaded "Mother Love"....which I'd never heard before. Great tune and yes - it's amazing how strong his voice is here...and the use of the recording of Freddie with a live crowd at the end is really moving too...

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, wine and chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "what a ride!"

I usually lose it when the baby cries at the very end. Very sad.

No, I haven't heard that one. I saw it at the store the other day and thought about adding it to my Christmas list but I think I'd rather get the "Hell Freezes Over" DVD first.

Skid Row is one of the few "hair metal" bands that actually went with a harder-edged sound after they became popular with their first album. This a cool tune.

The link for the video look like it's from Saturday Night Live...Great performance!
