New Artist Or Extended Playing Time?

Folks,
I'm running out of time here and willing participants.

I have tried Dennis DeYoung, Tyketto, Tall Stores, Danger Danger & Glen Burtnik.

None of the above can do this show at this point in time.

I have a couple of things still to look at, but another option is for those support artists at the show to get a little longer playing time.

Do people have an opinion on this?

I like the idea of extending play time. JSSB is already doing 2hr sets, why not just extend theirs maybe??

Seriously Andrew, don't bother busting your ass to get a second-rate fill in if you can't get any of the major acts you're trying to secure. I think everyone here would rather just see JSS do his full 2-hour set.

I don't think JSS will be playing his 2 hour set, but perhaps we can coax 10 or 15 minutes more....I'll chat to all artists today and tomorrow about possibilities.

A 10-15 minute extension for a few groups seems like the easiest option... or if all else fails, have an intermission. Those of us here that are going, will be there no matter what happens with that hour. And maybe the idea of an afternoon session/evening session? Re-work you flyers and press releases and have the first session go until that hour, and have the evening session start at the end of it.

It'd be like a band-aid. No pun intended.

On the notice board I wrote:

1st choice - another artist - Ted Poley would do for me if the other D2 lads aren't available.
2nd choice - pull one of the scrap metal vocalists out for a solo slot, they are there anyway - would love JLT to do a longer set
3rd choice - longer sets, especially JSS and Chalfont.

Wouldnt mind an extra 10-15 min from Martie peters group or how about some time set aside for photos/autographs.And as for all those people deciding not to go now,well that gives me more chance to win a raffle prize!!!

shooting star might be an option, great live show. or just entened the other acts, 15 minutes bewteen sets seem very short, 30 min breaks would give everybody a chance to stretch, maybe get autographs from acts bid on items etc... the line up is pretty solid as is and would save you some money. ask y&t to stop on thier way to cleveland from chicago and do an acoustic set maybe.

*shrug* He's doing a 2 hour set at the other shows on the tour, I'm assuming. He doesn't seem like the guy who would back down from more stage time, especially to bail out a guy who's done more promotion for his career than probably anyone else on the planet.

Frontiers would be a great choice.

But if that's not possible,more Chalfant, a little bit more Scrap Metal (poor guys,I know

) and a longer JSS set would do just fine.

Shooting Star would be great to see and I could help Andrew put that together, but I seriously think that with Kevin Chalfant already on the bill and Shooting Star going with another "new" lead singer, that would not work out very well.

Man, I wish Zebra or Terry Brock were not already booked for shows in Louisiana.

Extended sets would be a nice option. Maybe the sets could be filled with some deeper cuts!
