We looked back and saw Rokken and St.John in the back, but Dan were too fucked up to realize we were raisin our beer to em, haha. Good stuff.

Don't be mistaken, Dantastic and Rip Van Sprinkle were glistening eyes from the awesomeness that was last night's show too. That's why they didn't see you toasting to them... misty eyes.

Those ushers are big losers. I know I pissed off 20-30 people getting in and out of my seat to come see you guys for all of 4 minutes... it was worth it. Dude! Dude! Your vocals were great, what are you talking about? Geeze. 8)

You know what you're right. My vocals were pretty dead on huh? Aside from the cracking and the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard, I think it went over well, left everything on the table haha. You , me and Time would make a good trio :D

That song is fantastic. Absolutely beautiful. I can see why they said they're going after a Grammy. I'm not saying they will win one or even get nominated, but they most certainly could. But just by them saying that shows how proud of their work they are. That's a good sign that a band is working well together.

Absolutely LOVED that song. So glad I got to see it live. Just a beautiful song. I am a sucker for ballads anyway, but lyrically and musically just great.

From what I've seen and heard, the fans ate these songs up and didn't go to the bathroom during them. At least most of the fans...When you gotta go you gotta go... :D

Although I haven't clicked the link, in keeping with my No Ballade clause, this point definately bears repeating.

Schon/Cain is the power core.
"I love almost everybody."---Rocky Balboa 1990
"Let's reform this thing.Let's go out and get some guys who want to work and go do it"--Neal Schon February, 2001
"I looked at Neal, and I just saw a guy who really wants his band back"-JCain 2/01

Yeah, they definitely did. I was on the second level and they were quiet as mice in my section. From where I was the whole audience seemed pretty quiet in general. Disappointing, because I think it affected my mood about the show.

Maybe they were quiet so they could listen to the new songs.....or maybe not, but from the clips I've seen most people seemed to enjoy them.

unfortunately, that is an issue with filming a dvd in Las Vegas. A larger percentage than usual of your crowd will be the casual fan that wants something to do that night. A vegas show is reducing your normally poor hardcore fanbase draw by that many more. One would think a hometown San Francisco show or something would have worked better.

I had a different perception from where I was. I was 12th row to the side and could see all the seats and balcony from where I sat. That place was nearly filled to capacity. And just like any Journey concert, the hits have everyone going nuts on their feet, and the more obcure or unknown songs have people sitting. Typical of every concert I've been to in the last couple of years with classic bands. You have to remember it was a large "theater" setting and not an arena too.

And let me add to that, there were women who went NUTS for Arnel, to the point of almost making a 6'4" large security guard fall onto the stage when they tried to touch him screaming like he was a Beatle in the 60's. Maybe more of the hardcore fans were up front or something.
