Lep and Taylor Swift Crossroads

Postby Angiekay » Thu Jul 03, 2008 12:31 am

CMT has paired Taylor Swift and rock icons Def Leppard for the next installment of Crossroads. The show will be taped before an invitation-only audience in Nashville in October and will premiere on the network on November 8th.

Swift said, "Every time I've seen Crossroads on CMT I've always thought, 'If I ever get to do one of those, it HAS to be with Def Leppard!,' so this is really a dream come true for me. I have been screaming the words to Def Leppard songs for years...so it's amazing that I'm going to get to share a stage with them this year!"

Just another example of about a million that Def Leppard make themselves look like a desperate pop band....what a shame. It's hard to believe this is the same group that made HnD and Pyro and even Hysteria

Well, Heart didn't look like a desparate pop band when they did crossroads. So maybe it is a matter of your perspective.

She's cute, but that voice, singing that song - weak. No "UMPH".
Oww. My aching tentacles.

I don't know about all of you but I thought Joe sounded awesome on Crossroads, it seems like his voice is getting better all time.

I think Joe did a great job on Love Story, it sounded very natural, like it was meant to be a duet all along.

My wife is a fan of both of them, and me, well, just Def Lep. However, I can respect her talent and actually I enjoyed the DVD. Smart move indeed on their part. I think so many people are still stuck in 1987. The reality is that they are never going to do another Hysteria, and there is nothing wrong with artists respecting one another and doing things like this. Joe said it best during one of the interviews..."how do you sell 3.5 million records in 2008?" Right on. He's no dummy and knows she is on a path to huge stardom. This was definitely one of the better installments of Crossroads.
