As it's been said, it really just depends on the woman, every woman is different, different likes and dislikes. Me personally, ever since I started living in Japan, like brushing my teeth, I have shaved my face twice a day, right before bed and first thing in the morning when I wake up, cause I hate having facial hair. But that's me, I'm a hygienic freak! And just by coincidence, each and every woman I've been involved with over the last 20 years or so has also been a hygienic freak just like me and preferred their man without facial hair, and they've all been Asian, and that has made me happy as a clam all these years. 17 years ago I had a girlfriend when I was living in the Philippines. If we ever crossed paths with a foreigner who had a beard, she hated it and would say he looks so untidy.
There's also the possibility that what looks good on one guy, won't look good on another one. What doesn't look good on me is long hair. Maybe a beard doesn't fit you. Now since you cut it off, hopefully if you run into her again, if in fact it was the beard, then you can see if she treats you differently now.
But there's also this slim chance that maybe it wasn't the beard afterall. Maybe she's already involved with someone and if someone would have seen her bsing with you, it would fuck some stuff up for her. Ever think about that? Maybe she sensed how googoo gahgah you were over her and she snuffed your smoldering ember of burning lust before you escalated into a full on three alarm. Before I was married, when my girl was away and another chick came around me and started to flirt or hit on me, I'd walk away from her just like that, no questions asked. I wouldn't even look the chick in the eyes, just walk away or completely ignore her. Because I was in love and completely satisfied with the girl I was already involved with. So what happened to you with the Camel t-shirt chick could have also been a situation just like this.

I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
