I met Neal backstage in 98 after wife number 3 or 4, and he was saying (and I quote) "that's it. I'm done, never again!!"in regard to his then recent divorce.
I guess Journey will be on the road when he is well into his 70's, with singer number 16 or 17 by that point.

I checked out Lori Carpenter's myspace and it shows here marital status as "married"

Still, I think people in the Journey community would have mentioned in some form or another about them getting married. I remember all the pictures posted when he got married to Amber.

And WHY do you think that? Maybe given the absoulte cannon fodder Schon's personal liefe has been online he felt no need to let ANYbody into the loop now, much less the ravening wolves masturbaturily attached to vocalists only in the guise of "Journey fans." None of these people, Steve Perry included, owe WE sick fucks a scintilla of info about what goes on besides their recrodings or tickets we opt to buy.

I was so surprised at your comments about my posts, which were made in a positive way.
Anyone who has had an alcoholic in the family, or has struggled with it themselves, know thee is no "joke" about it. Neal has talked openly about his prolem with it, and I am so happy for him that he is doing and looking so well...I certainly admire him for the strength and desire to reclaim his control over his
life and happiness. As for Lori, everone who has met her says she has been a wonderful, calming influence on Neal, and that song, "Just what I needed" must have been written by Neal about her.
And yes, marriage DOES take practice! Whether it is your first or tenth! It is not a 50%-50% proposition, it is a 100%-100% one. It takes a lot of work as well as love.
My heart is most sincere when I send Lori and Neal my best wishes for a successful one, may it last forever, and have as much happiness as possible in our crazy world!

Same thing happened to me, Rip; but I did ask before I sent my congrats. Apparently they were just messing with MySpace & someone picked it up as fact. Too funny.

My nephew's friends hacked his facebook, un-relationshipped him from his girlfriend, hooked him up with a guy, and wrote sexy messages on the guy's wall. Was funny as hell but there's the lesson... just because it's on myspace or whatever doesn't make it true.

Ever think maybe they did it on purpose, just to screw with people, or too see how fast the rumor would spread?

Made sense to me. Someone on Arnel's site reported meeting and talking to Lori in the Philippines when there were there for the show, and she showed them her big rock and the people that met her said they thought it was an engagement ring. I read that, and now a month or so later here is this news that Lori and Neal changed their My Space pages to married. It seemed logical to believe it. Maybe Neal has gotten smart, told her they are married in their hearts and a piece of paper means nothing - (well, except a big alimony check if they divorced).
