That place was retrofitted for filming concerts. ONJ, The Carpenters, Cheap Trick, the list goes on and on. A great venue for filming.

Didn't Journey do a couple there too? Frontiers and Escape?

They had back to back nights on the FRONTIERS Tour, with one show being filmed For Japanese Television. I've got that boot on video, but it's missing all the good stuff like Lies, Don't Fight It and Frontiers. :(

Promise Her The Moon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jQvTG-ZpNg Beautiful ballad

Stay Together http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XviCStCEAA Have never heard this one live before. 8)

Take A Walk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5j1OoNZYncc First half is done accoustically by all 4, then kicks into full on electric. Cool!

Tempermental http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3nGhz3r ... re=related one of my early faves! :)

No same-old same-old from these guys! :D

Other than "Stay Together" this seems unnecessarily redundant, but I really hope they do get to do some shows in the states, i'd love to see them.

At least they're not just playing their dirty dozen, looks like they've added a few newbies in there (didn't post all the clips from youtube) and changed up some of the oldies (Wild World, Take A Walk, are done accoustically, etc.) LOL, and Tempermental never gets redundant IMO, love that one.

Is there any other songs that weren't on any of their 20 original live releases? Other than Bump Ahead, which I never cared for, I like all their albums and have most of the live stuff, but it's hard to put a new spin on a live album when you're only pulling from 4 LP's worth of songs to begin with. Wished they would've put out a new studio album before doing another live thing, just so there'd be a real purpose to it.

You've got a point, but I think this dvd was more to comemorate their 20th Anniversary and reunion. They are a great live band, so as far as I'm concerned can never get enough LIVE from them......so they can put out another one after they put out a new album. I just wish they would play more off of Hey Man (love Take Cover, but would love to see others like Where Do I Fit In or If That's What It Takes.

And we probably aren't going to hear any off of the Kotzen albums, which is kind of a bummer, some fave Mr B songs are on those 2 albums.........like Shine, Dancing With My Devils, Rose Alone, Electrified, etc. I've noticed though, Eric seemed to play alot of those Kotzen era Mr Big songs mixed in with his own work at his solo shows.

Glad you mentioned "Shine." It's a great song, and it was the one that made me realize Mr. Big didn't suck. I had previously stereotyped them from hearing "To Be With You," which I can't stand.

Love "Next Time Around."

Agreed...Hey Man is kind of uneven, but there's some really overlooked tunes on it.

"Shine" was largely a Kotzen solo composition so I know that wouldn't happen, and I don't think Gilbert would really fit with Kotzen's more bluesy style songwriting, but I was hoping they'd at least throw "Superfantastic" or "Arrow" or something in there, just to have more songs to choose from. Oh well. It's not like I'm ever going to get to see them living where I live anyway.

The Japan release dvd is available today, but I'm going to try and hold out until October and get the European release, it looks like it comes with an extra dvd with the Next Time Around video and the accoustic HardRock Cafe reunion performances. :)

:D Happy camper.......

Mr Big Reunion dvds & cds - October
W.E.T. cd & TSO w/JSS show - November
JSS Madrid dvd - December

....and another EM cd (Mr Vocalist cover series) in there somewhere too.

Just got the Budakon DVDs and CDs. What a great show! The youtubes just don't do it justice especially compared to a bigscreen and sound-surround! Great stuff, totally on top of their game still! Great sound! LOL, I'm sooo jonesing to see a Mr Big LIVE show now. :D

Just shared this DVD with my wife. The band LOOKS incredible on this disc. Absolutely the sharpest-filmed concert I've seen of any band I actually like. The only ones that come close are the "Right Now..." DVD (Van Halen) and probably Rush in Rio (RiR was sick).
Best regards,
