You're welcome  . Actually, although his AGT performances have been good, I don't think he's quite comfortable in front of a huge TV audience just yet. His performances at this venue (where he did Unchained Melody) - he's a different person. Love this one too (Chain of Fools), he really exudes the soul on this one:

Good gawd he's got a fine voice! Incredibly soulful. Performed one of my all-time favorite songs for his final performance tonight.........When A Man Loves A Woman. Major goosebumps!

 MG's voice isn't as gruff. Funnily enough, ya know I love me some smokey soulful vocals, but never been much of a fan of Bolton's though, I think it's something in his delivery, just doesn't ring true or comes across kinda phoney or something like he's not actually feelin the song like his delivery is more for show. But this kids got a helluva voice. Was just watching this clip, and yeah I can just imagine what a studio could do with his voice too. Sings with feeling, dig his delivery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tef_mr8hkOM

No way - that was actually my guess, even though I haven't seen any YT's of him doing that song! (Hasn't aired here yet, so I haven't seen it). Really looking forward to it now.

I'm betting America will pick the little girl for the win though (and she is amazing also).

Jackie got jobbed. That girl has more talent than that Bolotin doppelganger. That's why these shows are rigged. I GUARANTEE thid dude will put out no more than ONE album....then goes the way of the dodo.

BTW, his fucking sob story about not wanting to lose his grandparent's house helped( while touching, has nothing to do with his talent), I'm sure....just like Fantasia prancing around stage, playing up the single-mother role with her daughter, helped her win Idol....young girls voted for a good looking guy. Just liked african americans voted for a black man for president. It is a TALENT show. Not a Beauty Pageant.

Speaking of dodos . . . do some research before you start flapping your gums. First of all, he already has 4 albums out (and who the hell is Bolotin?) Second, if you know how that show operates - the producers play up EVERYONE's stories. They leave out important details, make it seem like they're all just a bunch of hard luck cases who no-one has ever seen before. I'm sure it's not the contestants' choice to go on and on about their lives like that. A lot of the acts have already played Vegas and other gigs - one example - that black woman with the big booming voice - NOT just a 'subway' singer. And you're right, it's not a beauty pageant - otherwise Jackie would have won

Thanks for making my argument for me! Aprreciate it! FOUR albums out, and I never heard of him.....NEXT!

Lastly, you must be one of those people who clung to his looks...because a 10 year old with a voice like that is ONE in a BILLION...whereas a 30 year old with a mediocre voice like that is a dime a dozen....lemming!

She still fronts The Headpins. They just played here a few months ago.

Another Canadian gal with a killer rock voice.......she got into some mellow Jazz for awhile, but she's back to rockin' again. Lee Aaron ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6j4Is3lVVI

Anytime! Knew you'd love the motown/soul feel of it. :) Not sure if it is a Sam Cooke cover, I don't recall? This is an extra on the end of the Eyes album, good stuff! Nobody Said It Was Easy is on that album too, another fave!

not sure about being a Sam Cooke. If you look at the comments on youtube, you get this...

It's not a Sam Cooke cover, it's a JSS original he dedicated to Cooke...it was a 'ghost' track on the Eyes debut album as in, it wasnt listed on the song sequence, just appeared as a final track with no info about it on the album due to publishing reasons on how many songs a band was allowed to release and get paid on a single LP. This info was from an old JSS interview...

My general thoughts are that it was written to SOUND like a Sam Cooke song....or maybe Sam Cooke backed by Queen ;) It does sound very good either way.

earlier demo of said song with James Christian (later of House of Lords fame and a good vocalist also) singing--this being before JSS joined the band.
