At this point, I really don't care until he puts something out.
Sorry if that's harsh, but hey....SP said he's building a Studio...right?? :?

I'm just really disappointed in that Boheme song....you can't hear him at all.

This would be the best matchup for SP I can think of. Rob Thomas is a great singer, Matchbox Twenty is the best thing to come out of the '90s, IMHO.
'Nothing was bigger for Journey than 1981’s “Escape” album. “I have to attribute that to Jonathan coming in and joining the writing team,” Steve Perry (Feb 2012).'

I'd have to give the edge to the Wallflowers. Both solid though.

Agreed, damn those two would sound real fine together. 8)

I pull this dvd out every once in a while, like how he gives 110% always a passionate delivery, not unlike our Perry. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AucmxNQ6o8

Carlos Santana had RT sing on the record that won him a Grammy few years back, right?
Steve should do a duel with Rob...would get the younger fans attention.

Going back to my TBF 'wishing and hoping days'....had they been able to tour for TBF (no doubt a stadium tour), I always said at the time that they should have toured with a modern band such a s MB20 as their opening act. It would have easily brought in the younger generation, especially since Journey wasn't as much of a pop culture band for younger fans in '96. The Stones always brought a younger band out with them. Had Journey toured in '96, they would have followed that path, rather than the 80's flashback triple bill package that they now follow. Oh well
