Man, that is a difficult question.

I'd say The Garden is definitely in there at the moment. Also for me Caravan, Limelight, War Paint, Subdivisions (off the top of my head).
There are just so many fantastic songs.
I bet if I were to listen to a few the last 3 would change!

Way too hard to put only five together. These definitely are contenders:

1. Limelight
2. Big Money
3. The Enemy Within
4. Digital Man
5. Freeze

That was keeping it to only one song from a particular album. I can do it again with five completely different songs!

1. Distant Early Warning
2. Driven (live version from Different Stages)
3. The Weapon
4. Earthshine
5. Twilight Zone

One more time!

1. Freewill
2. Analog Kid
3. The Main Monkey Business
4. Force Ten
5. Time and Motion

Aw, fergeddit!!!

I like Xanadu a lot, but I can't say that it's one of my favorites, honestly.

Man, this was harder than I thought it would be. I must've written, rewritten and changed the order of my list 20 times (no exaggeration) before I was satisfied with this one:

Spirit of Radio
The Camera Eye
2112: Discovery/Presentation*
Red Barchetta (Live version on Exit Stage Left)
Tom Sawyer/ La Villa (Sorry, the jury was deadlocked! )

And before you assume or ask... Yes, I have listened to RUSH since 1982!! :P  But you'd think I hadn't based on the age of the songs in my list. I do like almost every song on every album and actually own a physical copy of every one of them. I just happen to like these songs more than all others.

*If you've never done so, I highly encourage you to listen to Discovery/Presentation wearing GOOD headphones played on a kickass stereo in a dark room. It's absolutely magical!!
Another thing about this track(s) is it's the very definition of progressive rock. If anyone ever asks you what "progressive rock" is, simply play this for them.

If I had to pick a favorite off 2112, it'd be The Grand Finale. LOVE the furious guitar work in that.

After hearing the live version of "A Passage To Bangkok" on ESL, I was never able to listen to the album version again. I far prefer Alex's guitar tone on the live one.

As rad as the first side is, I really love "The Twilight Zone." It doesn't sound like a song guys that young would have written at the time. Geddy and Alex were still 21 or 22 at the most.

Oh...I just meant the song 2112. Twilight Zone is a great tune. Wish they'd bring it back.

If memory serves, TZ is Ged's least favorite song in their catalog. {{I think}} he eluded to that on the Classic Albums 2112/Moving Pictures docu. but I'm not exactly sure in which interview he said that. He went on to say that the song is the least like everything/anything else in their catalog and "doesn't even sound like a RUSH song".
That fact plus the reason Verslibre noted are exactly why I really dig that song. It's sorta like a prototype for an avenue they were toying with but scrapped it and went a different direction which makes it a one-off and unique. And even though Ged dislikes it, you can hear and feel a lot of emotion coming through in his voice. Very subdued and solemn like Discovery but lacking any element of hope or personal inner peace. Ok, I'll shut up now before I go all philosophical again.

Lol...

One song off there I also really like is Tears. Aside from the main Bangkok riff, that's the first song I learned off 2112. And it was an accident. I was trying to figure something else out, and boom.
