Steve Perry's (formerly of Journey) 1986 American Motors Jeep CJ7 Laredo has been stored in his private car collection warehouse since he first bought it brand new. Black with the Laredo package, saddle interior with matching rag top. It's all original with new Wrangler tires, Enkei rims, with only 11,857 original miles. This one-owner vehicle is basically new and a true collectors item, especially since the owner is now in the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A Journey's Greatest Hits double disc vinyl album will be personalized by Steve himself to the new owner of this vehicle. All proceeds will go to charity. Whether Steve actually owned it and is selling it for charity... that's where verification is needed.

The original post was made by Fan Asylum. That confirms it is legit. If you look at the ad, there is an area to the right to email the seller for information. Boxes to be filled in say "First Name" "Last Name" "Email" "Phone (Optional)". There is a generic phone number in the space (555)555-5555. I'm still laughing thinking that someone actually called that number thinking that Steve Perry was going to answer the phone. Amazing.

This is a car for someone with lots of disposal income. Of course. I mean even though a HOF'er car or SUV or Jeep, it's over 30 years old. Lo miles but almost $50,000. I would have to enclose it in glass or make people think it is an honor to stand close to it, view and touch the door for a lo price to recoup my money aka Trump and his mansion in Florida. And I would hope the charities would include Meals on Wheels and PBS and Planned Parenthood to name a few. What a terrific idea!

At the end of the day, it's just a stock Jeep CJ-7. Is IS a survivor, though, since it's apparently not been restored so that's good.

Don't see 47k for it, but you never know what owning a famous person's car might be worth to someone with the money to spend.
