Someone will have to refresh me with the USA/Africa version. I see the run time for this is longer.
My guess would be, just like Don't tell me why your leaving (another great song) it appears on a B-side somewhere.
The B side version being a radio edit version?

I bought this album for just this song. Was pleasant surpised with all the other songs tho.

Yes, longer outro. Longer sax solo. Slightly different lyrics. The USA for Africa version was probably just this one edited for time. However, the rereleased Street Talk on iTunes doesn't have that song. Interesting. They don't have the USA for Africa album either - wonder if there is a licensing issue.

Sorry,he can do better!!!synthesized Street Talk could have been so much more...I just think it needed to have better percussion as it sounds so syntheszed & tinny! I've commented on this for decades & Steve being a drummer should understand!!!

Yes, this is the version in the 2008 re-release of Street Talk, which included 5 additional tracks (My My My, Harmony, Makes No Difference, Don't Tell Me Why Your Leaving, If Only for the Moment Girl). The re-release of FTLOSM also had 5 bonus tracks (If you need me call me, One more time, Can't Stop, Friends of Mine, Missing You (live)).

I already had the original cds, plus these other songs in various forms, but couldn't resist adding the total packages to my collection.
So glad I did. The remastered versions sound so much better. Just to my layman's ears, music is sharp and clear, SP's vocals jump out at you.
