While I had some issues with the Dawn remake, I always felt Zack should have done a proper follow-up. All the attempts to remake Day of the Dead have been garbage.

Zack's Dawn remake surprised the hell out of me. As a fan of the original 1978 film since my dear departed Dad "smuggled" me into the drive-in to watch it (he had no idea what we were in for), I wasn't keen on a remake, at first. I love Romero's original trilogy.

Then I saw it, and I saw how somebody could make a great remake of a great horror classic without doing a straight-up carbon copy. The story, cast, cinematography, action, score, just about all of it — loved it. I was against fast-moving zombies before the movie, and I changed my mind afterward.

Zack returning to do another movie like that, completely unchained, sounds like the cat's meow. I hope The Last Photograph still gets made by WB. (Zack conceived it but wasn't going to direct it.)

Even when it is at its best, it's entertainment and not meant to be taken as some type of profound literature. IMO you two have way over estimated it as some type of profound story telling, especially the print versions. People comparing it to the level of Shakespeare? It is silly to do that. It is taking it way, way, way too serious. It's fun, it's entertainment, but it's not at that level.

Says the same guy who argues against DC with every opportunity. You said Doctor Strange would probably make a billion dollars and it got nowhere near it. You think Captain Marvel's going to rock. Warner-DC makes a movie, and you're all over it like a rash on a baby's ass. You obviously take it no less seriously than anyone else here.

Maher's a complete douche who's trying to prolong what little relevancy he thinks he has. When he says things like "I'm sorry you're not all dead," he's trying to stoke the fire. The only way he gets noticed is if he makes inflammatory statements. He's going to fade away, and Stan Lee is going to be Remembered with a capital R — Billy Boy knows this.

And yeah, he showed up in Iron Man 3. I doubt it was a pro bono gig.

Reeves speaks on Batman. Film will be noir-esq where it will be a detective crime story. SWEET!

This will be amazing. I'm getting Englehart-Dixon-O'Nel vibes. No doubt he's a fan of their stories from Batman and Detective. "Rogues Gallery"...*#&$@!

James Gunn Could Have Directed A Superman Movie Instead Of Suicide Squad 2
https://screenrant.com/james-gunn-super ... aign=SR-TW

BULLET DODGED! Reportedly, WB has talked to 7 directors about DC Properties with Superman included so it's good to know that behind the scenes, Superman can take flight when the right director comes along. Hopefully sooner than later.

Wonder Woman '84 is scheduled to release June 2020.
The Batman is scheduled for June 2021.

Round out the Trinity and give Big Blue June 2022. Nonetheless, I'm willing to wait if that means the right director with the right vision comes along these next few years. My want-list as a Supes fan is JA Bayona or JJ Abrams.

Watch out, Marvel: DC Is Finally Set for a Run at the Title

The year 2020 could be when we start to see the tide shift, where the upstarts become the favorites and the cracks in the previous regime become notable. Birds of Prey kicks off early that year, followed by Wonder Woman 1984; the next year is Matt Reeves’ untitled Batman film and The Suicide Squad, directed by—wait for it—James Gunn! Nothing in sports makes for a better story line than an athlete seeking revenge on a team that did them wrong. I can’t speak for Gunn’s mindset after his unceremonious firing due to tweets from six years ago (which equals five lifetimes in social-media years), but I don’t think he’ll suffer from a lack of motivation working on this project. DC has also made it clear that they’ll trade universe continuity for intriguing story—this stand-alone The Joker film set for release this October could be just the palate cleanser our superhero team-up taste buds require.

Pretty crazy that the Cavill/Superman/WB negotiations won't go away. Pay up, Hamada and lets get Henry locked after Witcher. This thing has a life of its own.

That's exactly what WB must do. I don't think Fantastic Beasts is their next LOTR or Potter mega-franchise.

It's obviously D-fuckin'-C!

Trench scene was an Aquaman highlight for sure. No need for a solo film tho.

A modestly budgeted horror film. It'll be cool.
