The splatter-print jacket (it looks like a dress I had in the 8th grade), tiger stripe pants, the perm - bad even for the 80s and too Duran Duran. And I speak as someone who had a perm for most of high school and still has her acid wash jacket from 1986 (which is now vintage) and high-top Reeboks!

I pretty much think the only people who didn't look 100% stupid for that tour were Steev and Neal. The rest of them get this from me:

I think it was a sign of the times in a nerdy sort of way!!
I wonder if he, Liberace and EJ shared stylists at that time?!?!

I also believe it was the sign of the times. The 80's were great. "Splatter" clothing was in style, though I never owned any of that particular thing. I've got a few boxes of clothes up in my closet that I saved from the 80's which are always a howl to get out and look at every so often. I still got my black suede leather "flap" jacket… you remember the one that has that sort of off shaped "V" front flap to it, some baggy Z.Cavaricci dress pants, lots of BugleBoy dress shirts and a few of those thin leather ties. Those were some stylish years and I believe during that era, men’s and women’s clothing was the most similar to one another than compared to all the rest of the eras before and after that. Funny how all these clothes I saved still fit well and I could probably go out to a Halloween party some time as an 80's guy. Maybe that's what we'll do for Halloween this year.

I love how he looked -- if I was a lesbian looking for a frumpy lover with a bad perm.
