It appears that there are also some bonus tracks on FTLOSM:

If You Need Me, Call Me
One More Time
Can't Stop
Friends of Mine
Missing You
(demo version?)

Well...except for Can't Stop and Friends Of Mine and One More Time....THAT SUCKS. I wanted Let Go and Lost Angels.
Didn't need If You Need Me Call Me again and a Demo of Missing you.
Yea...I know...I'm pissin' in the wind here.

"Can't stop" and "friends of mine" (was One more time already out?) might be interesting, as the other ones were released on the Greatest plus CD. Not sure I'd buy the CD again though, just for two songs.

Maybe "Missing You" might be the short version of the writing session. Just a thought.........

Even if these aren't remastered, I'm glad "Ask The Lonely," "Only The Young," and "I Can See It In Your Eyes" are being added to their respective albums....that's the way TBF should've been from the beginning, and ATL and OTY deserved to be on a real album, IMO.

after checking out the price, and looking for samples which would be nice, $9 US isn't bad... I'll have to think on it.

You people and your acronyms make me think to much when I have to scrool inmy head for song titles...

Nora,

I have three versions of "If You Need Me, Call Me" The one on GH+5, an alternate version, and one Steve sings live in 1994. I wonder which one he chose........ unless.............. there is another version that no one has heard ! :D

that's what I thought, But since I don't have the CD in front of me, it's a few countries away, I couldn't remember. Then again, if I would have been smart enough to look next to me at my drive that has all my Journey music onit, I'd have had the answer I suppose.

Reson they are not there is that they are NOT actually Perry songs as such. They are Perry sung demos for Swedish songwriter Clif Magness. GREAT songs...there are 4 or 5 from that session I believe, but I doubt you will see them appear on any Perry release anytime soon.

OH....I knew Magness wrote/co-wrote Lost Angels, but had no idea that Let Go was ALSO written/co-written by him. Still disappointing though. AWESOME songs. LOVED to have had CD quality with SP singing. The versions I have it's either too loud or WAAAAAAAY too low.
Thanks for the info, 'Drew. :-)

Andrew, Clif is not from Sweden, Clif Magness was born in Texas on April 24, 1957.
Clif and Steve wrote 4 songs together during the FTLOSM sessions.
2 ended up on the album "Tuesday heartache" and "Young heart forever" while
Lost Angels and Let Go remains unreleased.
Perry could easily have chosen these songs as bonus tracks coz they are just
as much his as Clif´s.
Lost Angels was covered by Alien singer Jim Jidhed on his "Full Circle" (2003) album
and by Raine on their "Peace" album (1999).
Journey is not just a band,it´s a way of life!

Yes to all of the above apart from the Swede bit...I thought he was of European background.

Raine's version is pretty cool indeed.

:? I'm surprised they didn't add any bonus LIVE tracks to CAPTURED.....there's plenty of phenomenal material from the Departure tour they didn't include on that record, unfortunately.

I had no ides Clif Magness had written and recorded more with Steve Perry than was on FtLoSM! What a pity these tracks are not included on the remaster! I'm a huge fan of Magness' work and voice; shame he hasn't released anything on his own since 1994!

Just waiting to hear if there are any more from those sessions I am missing.

Do you have "Somebody Somewhere" and "Congratulations"? "Somebody Somewhere" is one of my favorites, but my copy isn't too good.
