I am extremely excited about this. I was at the Miami show which got rained out so I was bummed about this. Hopefully that means we'll get a larger scale tour and maybe play some indoor Arenas.

Geoff Downes has yet to disappoint me with anything he does in the studio. I have liked all of the last Wetton-less album - especially Arena (which I consider one of Asia's best). Having said that, I can't wait to hear the original band record new stuff.

NEWS ..... :

"...
Jeb: Is the tour and DVD a one-off or will there be another Asia album?

John: We are actually starting a new Asia album as we speak. With a bit of luck I can start singing in November and with a little bit of luck we can have a new album on the street by March of next year. We hope it is more than a one-off. You have to remember that the studio is where all the bad things happened with Asia.

Jeb: Is there any pressure to repeat the success of Asia?

John: No, the record industry has changed. The CD is almost a thing of the past. The record we are making now might be one of the last ones we make with the Roger Dean cover. I have been told by everyone in the record industry that the CD is over. No one really knows what is going to happen at the moment. All the other bands that are reforming are not releasing new albums. There is no new Police album and there is no new Led Zeppelin album. They are just putting out greatest hit's packages. We felt it was time to have a go and we will give it a shot and see what happens.
..."

I can tell u, I cant' wait to hear the new stuff. Hope John is recovering very quick from his triple bypass and then ... gimme the new stuff !!! Nice to hear they'll choose a Roger Dean Cover.

Well it ain't that "impressive" to me as I suggested it to be too. I think for an album called "Phoenix" Roger could have raised the Phoenix wings a little bit more. Man, why does he let this Phoenix wings hang down that much. He should have painted him with his wings raised up high! ...

You can tell how excited I am about it.....love almost everything the band has done, including the Payne albums. Also like the Icon stuff. the first more so than the second.
