Hey, that was a well written review. I actually like the two songs you didn't care for (Cyanide and Unforgiven III), the best. :lol:
I'm not a long time, hardcore Metallica fan though...This is only the third CD I've ever purchased of theirs.

I'd give it 2.5 out of 5. It's dry, clinical and lacks any real feel - seems to me they are trying to recapture some the metal 'technical' patterned stuff from AJFA, but it just doesn't work for me. It's better than 'St.Anger' but then the turd I snapped off last night was better than that, as well.

Rubin didn't do them any favours IMO, especially Hetfield.

Oh I think Rubin did wonders for the band...but I agree that it sounds calculated and clinical.
