I count two.... GQ dude and San Fran paper dude.
Randy only said he was working on 'hot stuff', and never mentioned an album...
(he was probably cooking a Lean Cuisine and Randy spotted him![]()
)
So I must have missed some.... Who else?

Saint John wrote:This story makes perfect sense as Perry's not much of a solo songwriter. FTLOSM had about 40 other people with writing credits. Minus Schon and Cain ole Stevie seems lost. Man, was that last album poorly written. I don't think he'll make that same mistake again, though. Friga could write an entire album for Perry while half asleep at the spa getting a facial. Have fun with that last line, stevew2!!!![]()

Trying to capitalize on the hard work your former bandmates have done while you sat at home is not worthy of your legacy. I am sure Perry will come out with a CD that will make the likes of Barbara Striesand and Tony Bennett very happy...zzzzzz. Just what the world needs, another Peter Cetera snoozefest. If that is what you want from Perry I am sure you won't be dissapointed. I fully expect FTLOSM II, only without all those "high-energy" tunes that made that disc such a rocker....HA! Steve, just stay retired and spare us more Elton John Disney movie sound track stuff.

You fricken back off the Peter Cetera!![]()
I'm sure we will soon hear some random interview from him noting that he did try to put out an album, but it just got complicated with all the label and legal issues that he will manufacture. Against the Wall II
Marabelle wrote:Interviewer: Congratulations on your new CD.
Steve Perry: Yeah, thanks. Glad you've had a chance to listen.
Interviewer: I think it's great. I gotta ask; what took you so long to record again.
Steve Perry: Truthfully I didn't think I had another CD in me. I didn't think I ever wanted to sing again. It's always hard to compete against yourself. And I didn't want to take that chance and not hear what I was listening for in my voice and in my music and in my lyrics.
Interviewer: So, Steve; I'm glad you changed your mind. I'm glad you heard whatever it was you were listening for in your voice and music and in the lyrics. i think people are going to be very surprised at what they hear.
Steve Perry: I'm at a different place in my life. Alot of those demons that drove me in the past are quiet. (laughs) I think people will be surprised and pleased. I'm proud of this work. It's something I want people to hear once and then want to listen to over and over again. We're not where we were ten, twenty years ago....I've moved beyond that and where I'm at comes with a lot of history and a lot of stories.
Interviewer: Do you think you're going to quiet alot of those folks who thought you didn't have the voice?
Steve: Ah, (smiles) you know you're not ever going to please everyone all the time; I learned that a long time ago. I've just done my best and I sincerely hope they like it. This is from me for those who still enjoy listening to my voice. Who...can I say this...who didn't stop believin!
