I used to have some decently long hair back in high school at times, long enough for a southern rock-style ponytail when I was in a classic rock covers band.

I never keep it quite the same - go from mid-length to buzz to long whenever I feel like it.

I've been buzzin for a year up to this past September, now I'm letting it go for a while. Kinda wanna bring the ponytail back for one more go-round before I can't wear that hair nemore (i.e. working and not bein a lazy college student), but I'm going back to the office in late December, so I'm gonna have to do something.

I haven't cut it since September... It also hasn't really grown that much, but I did have it buzzed just 2.5 months ago so I guess that's to be expected. I dunno, in all reality, I won't be able to bring the real length back before I start work permanently in May, but I'm gonna try to get by with a "just short enough" cut in December for work and then hope I can bring it back by April or so. We'll see, lol.

Okay, I am still kinda new here so I hesitate to ask, what is a "butt cut"? How many of you (males and females) had the SP layered (feathered, winged) hair style back in the day? It seemed like the majority of my high school was sporting that look.

Never had one, but a friend had the combo mullett/butt cut. Short up front, long in the back, parted with a crack right down the middle.
